You’re my idol! I’m 67, bad back, legs/feet with some feeling gone. Still trying to rehab from back surgery and rebuild core and lower-body strength. I go out for a ten mile ride on an eBike and feel I’ve personally accomplished something. Good on you you young whippersnappers!!!! 😎
Well done Kajsa, lovely video. Braver than me setting about a ride that long in winter. You lasted longer than the camera battery and longer than I would have done. Happy new year to you. Keep on inspiring us all. Much love to you.
Argh I wish you had a million videos! I too stopped in one of those lychgates once, just for shelter in the morning in a rainstorm while I made myself some tea and warmed up. Anyway, I loved this video and identified with a lot of it. Not the 300km distance though.... Good lord! 300K is a long way!
Wow very brave trying to sleep in -3! I think I would of kept going to keep body temperature up. Some of the best adventures are where you suffer the most. Incredible ride!
I’ve been banging on about insulated jackets for cycling for a while,it really is the only way to combat freezing temps, normal cycling clothing will not do the job and is actually dangerous especially if one has a mechanical...but they offer warmth and security,a must have, ive used a few and keep my cadence low so not to sweat...all’s cosy and well..☺️👍🏻
Happy New Year Kajsa! To say that was an epic ride is an understatement. Shows we can do anything if we put our minds and bodies to it! Thank you for the inspiration. All the best, Steve
Another inspiring adventure Kajsa which proves you certainly have more grit than me and theres no way I can sleep with my feet covered so I guess that excludes me from joining you on any overnighters unless there is a B&B next to you bivvy spots
The endurance training is pretty simple - each week increase your mileage by about 10% (or more if that's too easy). For me, the biggest challenges are dealing with weather over longer distance, and also fuelling. In fact, fuelling is probably hardest - eat and drink as much as you can during the ride.
Thank you, much appreciated! On this kind of ride, if it was all in tarmac, with this bike, with these tyres, and this luggage... probably around 17-20 kph. The average moving time for this specific ride was 18 kph. 🙂
2:21 You offered me a sweet and then you ate it yourself ......... so mean 😪😰😰 😂🤣😊 Such and inspiration and do you only ever do type 2 fun with wet, windy and cold weather cycling? 🤔🙂 I’ve go my bar mitts and marathon winter spiked tyres out at the moment for commuting to work everyday. People think I’m mad. 😳 Also, I’ve been looking out for a tailfin rack due to your vlogs but they are out of stock😰
@@KajsaTylen An I-spy book a long time ago taught me it was to do with coffins - although I had to check that on wikipedia. Woo Hoo and you slept there!

Good use of the 360 camera to express the feel of the ride. Good riding, too!
Fantastic video!
Thank you!! 🥰
I'm enjoying your adventures. You are making me want to get on my bike. Thank you.
Thank you! More to come soon I hope!
Chalk bag is a great idea! I used to have one to hold nuts and bolts etc when climbing lighting rigs. Lost it years ago, mind.
They're really cheap!
Cheers!
The Humber bridge at night time is quite a sight. Nice video.
Thank you! :)
I've only ridden over the Number Bridge once, and it was at dawn on an FNR. Glorious!
Happy New Year.👍 Great choice of audio book, bought it after you interviewed Emily.

Epic, Kajsa. I don't think I know anyone who likes suffering as much as you!
I don't like suffering, but I do like riding my bike all day and all night. Or some of the night.

Thats a hell of a ride. Well done and Happy New Year 👍
Great ride and well done for lasting longer than the camera battery.
Happy New Year to you too

No, what excludes you is that you don't want to. Don't go blaming your feet! 😄

I'm a beginning Cyclist. The most I have ever ridden in one trip is 75km. Any tips on building endurance to be able to ride 300km? Thanks :)

How does that 360 camera fly infront of you?
Invisible selfie stick. Pretty cool, eh?

You'll have to do it again because we didn't see the end lol

I don't take hallucinogenics but there was a point in that video where I thought I had. Is that a magic camera?
It certainly is. 🙃 OR... you've been popping pills...

That's a lychgate not a gazebo!
