Fred, plant grasses on the entire farm and turn it into a grassland and harvest the grasses to feed your goats where you will relocate to.

This is so sad and upsetting. Why are we so backward in Africa? Jealousy and hatred will not get us to the next level. I am so sorry to hear this, my brother. I am a subscriber to your channel and I take a lot of advice from you. Please take heart and hope for a better tomorrow. You have inspired me and I am very disturbed by this outcome. I live in the USA. I am from Nigeria. Please take hearts

This man Freddy is a gem he has equipped his head with the right knowledge no wonder he doesn’t look that shaken even after all this he still can afford a smile. You encourage me so much to come out of my comfort zone and face life challenges and see what’s gonna be. I pray for your health and strength you will bounce back bigger than before you are a master ❤❤❤

Traditions like these have held most African communities back from progress. I'm quite shocked that such gods are still alive in 2024. Young people of that community are in for a lot of trouble if in this time and era someone can just wake up and make such pronouncements after such an investment. I'm so humbled though how Fred and his team have handled the issue with such wisdom and magnanimity. It's amazing. I know it will be well with them as surely as the LORD lives. But as for those gods and their sympathisers, now that they are in the public domain, their days are surely numbered.

    Hi Fred
I am so saddened to hear what has happened to your farm, I am a Jamaican who lives in the UK, I have chosen Ugandan as my home in our mother land, the land is quite fertile, and it is the land of Hamiisi, and other great farmers, a man like you would do very well there, the country is known as the pearl of Africa, I will be retiring there in June, please consider joining us.

Fred, chin up bro. I really feel for you. You've been an inspiration. Consider coming to Kenya if West Africa doesn't appreciate you. I've been trying to achieve what you have. I've plenty of land and water, but insufficient expertise. I feel confident that we can make something big happen here.

I will suggest you remain in Ghana. Then use the location you have invested so much as least for generating feed for the animals and use your vehicles to transport the feed to wherever the animals are. They only asked you to take away the goats, they didn't ask you to leave the village. Your planted grasses are still there, you can harvest them.

The issue of who owns the land comes to the fore here. These chiefs(thieves) as custodians of the land, sell them, pocket the money and expect government to bring in the needed infrastructure. This should change.
The chiefs have to inform government of any land they intend to sell, the purpose hereof and the price they sell it for. Then a percentage is paid to the municipality(government) towards infrastructure. This will also eliminate fraud, double sale and this bogus tradition.

    What can we do?
Here are a few case studies in the annals of history regarding faith-based laws that have been overturned over time as cultural norms have shifted. Sunday trading restrictions lifted in the UK in 1994 for shops to open on Sundays. In 2006, Sunday closure laws were repealed in Germany. Similar relaxations occurred in Switzerland, and other European countries with Christian Sunday observance laws. Ban on sale of pork lifted in 1773 in China under the Qing dynasty. Several Indian states with (Hindu faith) laws restricting cow slaughter and beef consumption have eased them including West Bengal in 1955 and more recently Karnataka in 2022. Sadly the local community will end up being impacted the most. Best wishes to Fred, family & team!

Can you not keep different animals, because you have not be asked to give up the land, but you have been told not to keep, goats.

I have been dumbfounded since the visit of the regional minister and nothing positive has been done by the government. How are we sure that the visit was not game-playing. Minerals could have been discovered to exist there and that is regarded as more beneficial to having a learning and development agricultural venture that is renewable, everlasting and more beneficial globally than putting money into a few pockets through the exploitation of the minerals.

Many traditions which bring more harm than goods should be made illegal and totally abolished. The community may be left poorer.
Don't despair sometimes disappointment makes you stronger.
Be careful of those property negotiations which come from beyond all others. Don't let them stop you.

It's so asinine that it's OK for the villagers to eat goat meat but can't grow goats on the land.

the story of Mugabe, Zimbabwe and white commercial farmers. I am yet to understand exactly what the problem here is. I believe the chiefs (thieves) are using tradition as decoy in this absolute hate! I strongly believe there are some idiots behind the scheme.
Komenda/Asutsuare sugar factories. A group of American farmers came to Ghana to purchase those factories, engage the surrounding community to grow sugarcane to feed the factory. They sought to meet with then vice president Atta Mills to work out the modalities. For months on end they could not. They then departed and invested somewhere else. Why could they not meet the vice president? A group of foreign sugar importers managed to "bribe" their way out into stopping the American investors.
I believe there are rotten meat importers in this country trying to frustrate Semenhyia farms. It is stupid, foolish and very unpatriotic ! What is the government (ministry of agric) saying in all this; or their job(votes) matter the most.
