- The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, celebrate and honours #HarryandMeghan
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the royal couple to Nigeria's rich socio-cultural heritage and provide an opportunity for the Duchess of Sussex to explore her Nigerian lineage.
Furthermore, the event aimed to bolster Nigeria's bid to host the Invictus Games 2027 and support the proposal to establish the Invictus Centre in Nigeria, which would provide assistance to wounded, injured, and sick soldiers, among others.
Dr., Dabiri-Erewa expressed excitement with fact that #DuchessMeghan 's revelation two years ago on her Archetypes Podcast that she has Nigerian ancestry, discovering she is 43 percent Nigerian through genealogy research conducted in 2022.

What a relief to many other countries that Meghan has finally found where her roots are.
