you prolly dont care at all but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
I have been driving a standard since I was 16 (over 30 years now). I have a Focus ST3 and absolutely love it! I still love to drive like I stole it! You definitely cleared up some questions I had about Big toe/Little toe driving vs Rev Matching! Thank you!!!-Kim
Makes sense, been practicing for a while but so hard to heel the accelerator when you're not hard on the brakes. Going in between makes a lot of sense for rolling up to roundabouts when you're just crusing 👍
Thank you posting this video. I have no idea why my driving instructor didn't teach me these techniques! I saw your first video and the second video demonstrated perfectly how to execute it! I will let you know how I get on! Thanks. Liked and subscribed!
Just discovered your channel this evening bro and astonished by the quality of your vids. You seem a very capable and good driver from what it looks like and your channels definitely gonna blow up very soon. Keep working hard and stay safe. Ben.
Big toe little toe is easier to learn, but it only works on some cars, some foot shapes, and some brake pressure. If you have smaller (narrower) feet, if the brake & gas are spaced really far apart, or if you are hard braking, big toe, little toe is not going to be ideal. Whereas actual heel & toe is difficult to learn since you have to swing your entire foot almost sideways and pivot your ankle simultaneously. But it tends to work in more applications regardless of foot size, pedal spacing, and the kind of brake pressure you are applying.
FOR USDM owners....your gas pedal will be different than the RHD Type R. Every video I've seen of successful heel toe on FK8 are done on RHD vehicles with the gas pedal looking the same as the S2000. Part number for the RHD pedal is 17800-TEA-Q12, and IT WILL NOT FIT LHD vehicles. You will need to use Acuity Pedal spacer to get the pedals to line up properly for heel toe.
I have the same problem. I drive a Mazda 3 and I can't do big toe little toe, my feet are too small. In order to reach both I have to get the brake down pretty far to roll my foot to the gas pedal.
When rev matching do you still get engine breaking say you downshift from 3rd to 2nd? Like there will be no jerk but it kinda slows down right because of engine break?
at 5:35 when you say "you have a type r it does it automatically" then you show the car jolting...you havn't got the auto rev match feature turned on, ofcourse the car jolts? Or am I missing something
So how did you all get on with this technique? hopefully you found it helpful!
yeah... my breaks and exel are no ware near responsive enogh... i drive a 110 landrover defender...

Thanks for simplifying this for me, been trying to get the hang of it but this made it much easier to understand
Glad it helped!

No worries Kim!
the best explanation on rev matching, thx!

Best Rev Match explanation I've seen, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

David Jones thank you for the comment and kind words buddy!
I think last video of your down shifting was much better and easier to understand...btw good work bro...
Love for Pakistan 💗
Thanks dude!
The thing I don't get is that the throttle blip is during the shift or just before it.
I think it's during.

Really appreciate the kind words buddy! and welcome on board!
Great video! Going to give the heal toe a try!
Thanks Blake

Which is better? First revving and then changing the gear, or vice versa?
Don't think I can big toe little toe because my gas pedal is a lot lower than the brake. So I think I'll learn with heel toe

awesome video
Do you have a rev hang tune by any chance? Sounds like rev hang is pretty minimal in your CTR.
Is blipping the accelerator while changing gear not dangerous?
Great vid mate, very helpful 👍🏻
NeverL8 inaV8 cheers buddy!
Great video as always mate! 👍🏼
MK4-HEAVEN cheers dude!
When u rev match and u let go of the clutch do u have to give gas at the same time or no
It's whilst the clutch is down u silly.
what if u want to drop down from 6 straight to 2nd instead of going 5, 4, 3, and then 2?
Bigger blip on the gas. But going from 6 to 2 I’d have to wonder if you’ll be going too fast to shift to 2nd
Bro. Can i do, clutch then downshift then blip?
You'd need Hobbit feet to do big toe little toe in a Skoda Octavia, huge gap between the pedals. I assume sporty manuals have pedals closer together?
haha well yes in most cases they re closer
I have the same problem. I drive a Mazda 3 and I can't do big toe little toe, my feet are too small. In order to reach both I have to get the brake down pretty far to roll my foot to the gas pedal.
my car is still jerking when i rev match, how can i tell if i am over revving or not revving enough?
I got one question, can you down shift rev match with a semi automatic car Like a smart? Is that possible.
Re:rev match
Is it for both gear up n gear down? @realtorque
Just for changing down bro
well explanation bro
When rev matching do you still get engine breaking say you downshift from 3rd to 2nd? Like there will be no jerk but it kinda slows down right because of engine break?
the slowing down will happen only if you don't accelerate after downshifting
Do u really need to rev match 3 gear to 2 ???
6:00
Granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should😁
at 5:35 when you say "you have a type r it does it automatically" then you show the car jolting...you havn't got the auto rev match feature turned on, ofcourse the car jolts? Or am I missing something
I was just showing that it was off and I was rev matching manually
Read my mind brother ... Been on this for the last 72
How hard do you rev it because if you rev it loads won’t you jolt anyway ?
hey realtorque i've got my driving test next week, would you recommend doing this to impress the examiner?
thanks
jon
Yes, absolutely
@@realtorque thanks for the advice
cant wait to tear round town in my new clio

Well thats a lie, they have all been cancelled 🤭🙄
I drove past you in Northwich on Sunday, making this video maybe?
JT POV possibly yeah!
that sound track on the video, whats the title?
Any feedback?
It must be very fast hit gas and put next gear in. Then release the clutch. Otherwise there is no more function.
big toe little toe card board box
I love you ❤️
love you bro
No idea why I'm watching this with an auto M240 but whatever ;)
