I just watched this video again and noticed you were dreaming about that trellis going over that pink garden gate, with roses growing on it. I absolutely LOVED the "tangerine skies" climbing roses you ended up putting there. I've been trying to get some of those, ever since, even though I don't have anywhere to put them.....YET! My garden is still a work in progress. Thanks for all your inspiration, knowledge and encouragement over the past 3 yrs since I found you on TH-cam. I will forever be watching your content, as long as you are willing and able to post. Thank you for all you do.
My husband is Cuban and we add these peppers to black beans when they are cooking. When you go to a restaurant and get OK beans versus going to a restaurant that has AMAZING black beans... this pepper is the reason
1:32 little does she know haha. It’s cool to look back and see the things people dream and how they’ve literally come to flower. The roses look beautiful Jess
i know Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
Hi Jess! It was great to watch you and Jeremiah the other night on the live interview. It’s such a blessing to see you both in action. I missed you guys. The Lord brings you to the forefront of my mind all the time and I whisper a prayer for you. May He continue to show you favor and bless you with a bountiful fall harvest.
We love to let the radishes go to seed and then eat the pods. they are a little like a spicy pea... Yum and you get so much harvest.. try them and enjoy... the bees love the flowers too
thnx for sharing your beautiful garden with us. I was drawn into my garden when I saw green beans hanging from my trellis, and found peppers I though died long ago, they really never done anything until now. I got a pocket full of peppers much to my surprise. My sweet potato vine went crazy and the trellis blew over onto the ground and wow my sweet potato vine is taking root in many places all on the ground. I have to admit it is beautiful bright green arrow shaped leaves growing every where.
I love Zinnias .. but I just started growing them so I don't have too many seeds.. but I did have a fabulous and beautiful grouping of flowers all over my garden ... tons of Marigolds!!! .. all different colours and sizes.... would love to trade some seeds with you.. I've got thousands of Marigold seeds... I love to have my hands in the earth and see what grows.... I truly love watching and learning from you... you give so much love to your garden and family... you truly are a beautiful soul!....
I'm loving your zinnias. Thanks for the tour. I've missed you. I've been praying for you and your family. Have a great time next week. God bless you and your family.
My grandfather used to stack hay bales in a square and used old windows to make a small green house and grew alot in the winter. We live in SE Louisiana and didn't have hard winter's but the few weeks in Jan and Fed that we did kept us with food yearly.
I Love The Walks Through Your Garden You Talk As Though We Are Right There With You. So Peaceful and Informational.Your Voice Is Mesmerizing. The Love And Caring Of Your Garden And For Us Really Shine Through . Love
Hi Jess, my grandkids and I pulled our radishes last Friday ( Zone 6). Please do a video on the cover you erect for the veggies please. Agreeing in prayer for a safe, fun filled trip for your family. May the Lord bless you with new friendships.
I enjoy your videos. God's peace radiates from you and that's such a refreshing thing in today's society. Thank you for sharing your skill and knowledge with the world. Have a blessed day!
Last year I really over did it with planting lettuce. Family was saying "please, no more salads". Then one evening I was picking spinach from the garden and a light went on. Lettuce is a green, just like spinach so why can't I treat it like any other green. I started using it in recipes that called for spinach. Sauted it in butter and used in stir fries, all came out great. I also dehydrated it and used like parsley. I hope this will help if you a have bumper crop of lettuce. Oh, with your giant zucchini, if you have a favorite pickle recipe, replace the cucumbers with the zucchini. They make a great pickle. Save travels this week and have fun!
I hope y’all have a safe and wonderful time. Love seeing you and Jeremiah’s smile. I know it’s hard my daddy past away a couple of years ago. But just knowing I will see him in heaven and I know y’all will see Jeremiah’s mom again with that beautiful smile. Love y’all may God bless y’all.
Im so disapointed that i cant go to the homesteaders of america conference again. I guess when you get old you just have to just wish sometimes but at least you and Rose can keep me informed. Thanks for showing us the wonderful things growing for you in the garden this fall, cant wait till you return and we all see the big changes in the size of your plants. Love the flowers everywhere and the colors they bring. Take care, much love and peace, blessings.
Very cool channel, just found it. I live on St Maarten and try to grow everything and anything here. Right now busy with some cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkin, eggplant and a lot more . Looking forward to your other videos.
Hey! I'm from the south east UK. In the UK we deliberately grow the things you listed in the fall/ winter(broccoli. Kale, spinage, and other "brasicas" because here they can tolerate really cold harsh winters. Things like Brussels sprouts, which I love sauted, and cabbage prefer it colder and parsnips and garlic need cold weather to do well. The parsnips need frost as it helps the sugars to develop and they're much sweeter when harvested after frosts. The garlic needs frost to split the bulbs. You probably already know this, but as I grow lots of winter vegetables I thought i would tell you that brasica plants in the UK can survive frosts and snow at times and still keep giving. For the plants that I feel unsure about I make a little fleece box with canes and that helps keep them protected. Even salad leaves and radish we grow in cold conditions and they seem to hate the heat. Hope my little ramble helps!
So glad you're back! Your garden is proof that with a bit of work, it can take care of itself when life takes a turn. Beautiful! Have a safe trip to VA & I look forward to videos while you're there.
So glad to see that I'm not the only one who's pea-crazy. Well, I don't have kids so I hope someone else wants to eat them!. I also went crazy on cabbages, got the Verona one (along with the Brunswick) from Baker Creek and now there's like 20 in the beds! I'm with you on the caterpillars. Once as a kid I picked one up and ended up with hives for 3 days, so now I just don't touch! Gotta love those tomatillos - making salsa coming up. Your collards should do fine. So nice to see you at the Heirloom Festival - I felt like I ran into the Beyoncé of my garden world! Have fun in Virginia!
When we were growing up there were tons of all sorts if caterpillars and as kids we were fascinated by them. Sad that there are so few seen anymore. Thanks as always for another good video. I am learning so much from you. 👍🏻
I had planned to go in to work early today until I saw you posted this video.. I have been looking forward to this too much so on time for work it is! Thank you for sharing your garden with us, it's beautiful in every stage and I'm so excited to see the next update, Much love.

Thanks so much for another excellent video. You have inspired me so much that I started my own fall garden in your footsteps. It's at week 6 now, and I am going to try roasting my radishes for the first time! Thanks again, and my heart goes out to you and your family. I also lost a beloved family member two weeks ago, and grief really socks it to ya. Much love from California.
I have plans to come this weekend. But now I may have to see if I can come on Friday also. Thank you for sharing. Love your gardens. Hugs to All, safe travels to Virginia.

It was lovely to you see you out in the garden next to such beautiful flowers. There's plenty of things going on in your garden. I am super pleased you were able to buy such a useful homestead item from the Amazon affiliate program. 😊💕
I was so excited about the fencing! We’ve decided to always use the affiliate program income to purchase things that will give up more TH-cam content. Seems fitting!
So happy to see you back! We are making the trip from Kentucky to the HOA conference...looking forward to meeting you in person. Lunch with seeds sounds great! Godspeed to you all as you travel.
Jess, A couple of ways to protect plants from the cold, without making a frame, is using milk/water jugs or a clear plastic storage box. Hope you have a good time at the conference.
Hi Jess, this is June. I love your garden, its beautiful. It was so good to speak to you on the phone the other night. The weekend of your sorrow I was in Arkansas. I was only 150 miles from you. But the Lord had other plans. My husbands Uncle needed our visit more. And that was fine with me. Some times we dont understand disappointments of things. But our visit with him was of encouragement . It was Gods will because your family was under sorrow. But one day maybe we will visit if not here in this world it will be in our Lords new world. Amen I love your devotionals and your time in garden. My bean that you inspired me to plant, I'm eating beans from my plants. I've had 2 meals off of them. They were great! Thank you for inspiration!
