It looks great. Did you do anything to the back of the patches before mounting?

No we didn’t. The silicone adhesive works with the Velcro or a smooth patch backing.

How would you suggest mounting pictures in a shadow box similar to the one shown in this video

If the photos are printed on paper, double stick tape will work.

Can you please HELP with advice……….. I have a ‘thick’ shadow box. At the bottom I’m placing my daughter’s ballet shoes (from when she first started). Then on the top section, I want to place all her RAD exam medals/pins. HOWEVER, I do not want to ‘cut’ the backing off the medals/pins. WHAT ‘type’ of background should I use in the Shadow box, so I can carefully ‘pin’ her badges/pin onto some kind of ‘soft’ background to push the pins through. What type of background material should I use?? I was thinking thin foam with a glued coloured felt, then carefully pinning the badges through. But is there other types of stuff I could use?? I’ve seen some people use an extremely ‘mini’ pillow style (material filled with stuffing). Just want ideas of ‘soft’ backgrounds to push the pins/badges through. THANK YOU SO MUCH if you can help.

Sorry just now seeing this message. We don’t use anything that has a “soft” backing we have always had a hard backboard. I have done some setups on competitors displays that had a foam core backing that fabric was glued to. If you just stick the pins in they will work loose over time so make sure to glue them too. Hope this helps

@@recognitions307 Thank you. I’ve researched and read about the foam boards, but couldn’t figure out how to ‘pin’ the medals to the foam (most are pretty to sturdy, not flimsy). But I’ll give that try and glue some fabric to a foam core and then see how the medals pin in. Thank you so much for your help. Appreciate it.

How would you light up the shadow box? Fairy lights and how

We have done lights in displays before. Make sure you put the lights to the front of the display so you don’t see them directly in view. For the cord or wire run it to a corner and drill a hole to the backboard. Hope this helps.

Those are what they call thin ribbons. A few companies out there make them.

backpacker dream we use a tempered hardboard for the back and attach a blue felt on it. Or different colors to match the service.
