I know that it wasn’t done on purpose but can I just point out how dangerous it is to interchange the words Israel, Jews and Israelis. They are all completely different entities.

And because an ethno-state draws its support along ethnic and religious identity lines, it's easy for those critical of such a state to seem prejudiced against an ethnic group instead of the ethno-state itself which is the true source of this conflation to begin with.

This video cannot be fairly compared with the Israeli counterpart, because the questions are substantially different. The Israelis were asked "How much do you hate Palestinians? ", whereas the Palestinians were asked, "How much do you hate Israel?" Palestinians are a group of people, while Israel is a political State. People are more comfortable to give a negative rating of an entity (like a government) than a group of people, because the former is political while the latter is more personal/social.
P. S. interesting that the interviewees' follow-up comments were more nuanced than their flat 10/10 ratings would suggest. Their instinct for complete condemnation belied more complex views teased out thru subsequent conversation.

There is a huge difference between saying Israel and saying Israelis. When the question was being asked, you or the interpreter were saying Israel as opposed to Israelis. Israel is understood as the state/government and Israelis is understood as people. I think this might have affected how people responded to the hate question.
Try asking Israelis how much they hate Palestine as a fair comparison.

1. You took my words in a very strange way. I dont think I ever, not even once mentioned "rights". I never said we should've been given a country and I don't give a shit about our so called "historical claim" to it. I said we claimed the land using money and we made it into an actual land from a wasteland. Then we had to use force to keep it ours and while doing that we expanded our own borders. Nothing wrong about it in my opinion. The white people that came to America did a similar thing by colonizing America and driving off the natives. In my opinion there is nothing immoral about it (except for the different questionable things done in these wars).
War isn't immoral in my opinion. It is neccesary to settle dispute as we don't live in that fantasy world where words solve everything. (although a world in which people would settle disputes by themselves and not by using armies would be possible and better imo :/)

A moral country in my eyes is a country that (for example) educates their children for morals and humanity, their medicine (as long as not in war) will be neutral and will be provided to everyone of any race or country, their prisoners need to have at least the minimum treatment (and they are given more than minimum in Israel), and that it doesn't do any war crimes (as far as I know. We didn't. I saw many claims that we did war crimes and they were all debunked. Although if you find one real war crime that was condemned by Israel I would be glad to expand my knowledge (not much of a patriot...).
4. The Palestinians have too many countries of their own to count. The entire middle east (and soon Europe... :/) is theirs. The Jews were nomads the entire time they existed and were killed everywhere. We NEED a country or history will repeat itself. Jews cause trouble wherever they go because they never got well with their environment (No idea why. But even those who discarded their religion and transferred were found and killed)
Plus I don't think there is unoccupied land in the world atm except for Antarctica. At least not enough to create a country. Which means another war is inevitable if they want their own country.

In Arabic especially in Palestine the word Israeli and Jew are used interchangeably. In english there's a distinction but in Arabic it's understood that "jew" refers to Israel in normal conversations unless stated otherwise. It's like how people in Israel conflate the word Arab, Muslim and Palestinian when referring to the same people even though those are all separate things.
This guy asked them whether they hate "Israel" (the government) rather than the Israeli people. In some cases he asked about both and conflated the question, this isn't a very reliable questionnaire. The translation is bad as well.

Why is there different questioning in this project compared to last one where you asked Israelites about Palestinians.

in his Israeli video he asked them all the same question “how much do you hate Palestinians” but in this video he changes the question a lot from “how much do you hate Israel” to “how much do you hate Israelis” it’s not an interchangeable term Israel refers to the government while Israelis refers to the people, basically what he did makes it easier to manipulate the footage and take it out of context

I have a slight problem with this video.
The other one asked Israeli's "How much do you hate _Palestinians_ ?" and not "How much do you hate "Palestine."
This one is asking Palestinians "How much do you hate _Israel_ ?"
I would hear that and think you're referring to "The State of Israel," so if your intent was to ask Palestinians "How much do you hate Israeli's?" then I think you have irreparably compromised the test. If you want an honest accounting, I would suggest that you re-do the video, but taking care this time to differentiate between Israeli's and the State of Israel (perhaps with 2 questions: 'How much do you hate the state of Israel?' _and_ 'How much do you hate Israeli's?'
Failing that, it's possible that you've (perhaps even wilfully) misrepresented the true sentiment of the palestinians.

At this point the West Bank has been Israeli sovereign land for 55 years. There are Israelis living there that call it home. How many generations have to go by before you can't say anymore "this is occupied land"? Why does that land belong ONLY to the Palestinians at this point, and not also the babies born Jewish towns? Maybe you say 55 years isn't enough. What about 100 years? 200 years? 500 years? If Israel is still "occupying" the West Bank in 500 years will we still call it "occupied territory"?

I think we have reached the point where Israelis have the moral authority to say that they deserve to be living in the West Bank. I think the Israeli government needs to be reformed and there needs to be new civil rights laws put in place to protect the rights of all people living in Israel and treat everyone equally, while maintaining the sovereignty of the Jewish state. There also needs to be a major crackdown on police brutality against Arabs in Jerusalem. But that doesn't mean Israel should give up land that many of its people call home.

Another time Israel offered land and peace. The land was taken because the presence of Israel wasn't there. You know what the Palestinians did? Created a terrorist base and launched missiles into Israel...... I'll note here that obviously not all Palestinians are terrorist or reject the idea of peace. In fact, in Israel a lot of Palestinians born in Israel legally prefer to live there. According to actual facts, there are equal rights for all natural born citizens of Israel. I think most people refer to the illegal settlements when expressing the bulldozing of hospitals, schools and homes. If I remember that correctly, they are built in the same land that was, in a sense, abandoned by Israel. The same land which was used by terrorist to launch missiles. A land illegally settled by those people residing there. It's easy to justify someone so blindly when you don't properly study and evaluate all the facts presented from both sides.
I mean, I could bring up more facts. The Six Day War for example. Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Palestine attacked Israel....And they failed. Israel didn't do anything to provoke these attacks, which to me is ironic when I see claims like yours. Obama and Israel proposing to Palestine peace and land. Once again they rejected it. Since the 1900's, Israel has offered more than 3 times to give up land for the Palestinians to keep, to gain.
In summary, The people of Israel settled in the land they call home today. They settled there way before the Arabs, or Palestinians did. Despite this, Israel has offered peace multiple times to Palestine. Every time Palestine has rejected the offers.
Could Israel be guilty of some bad things, yeah, sure, why not? But if we will play the blame game, be sure to include the United States, Africa, Europe, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Japan, Germany, Russia, North Korea, Syria, and thousands of other countries which in the past has committed genocide, enforced slavery and supported it, killed their own civilians, committed crimes against humanity. That includes Palestine too.
I could even bring up the fact that the leaders of Palestine expressed the phrase," No peace with Israel, No negotiations with Israel, Death to Israel"

Now, i watched both videos, the one from the israeli side and the one from the palestinian side. One major thing that is definitely noticeable is the way the question is asked. When you ask the oppressed and the occupied (aka palestinians) if they hate israel, they are for sure going to say yes and reply with a ten. In addition, the palestinians who were asked these questions live in ramallah and the west meaning, the place that is surrounded by the walls and the ones who live their life oppressed by the israeli government on a daily basis. When someone says israel, people are going to automatically connect that with the thought of war, checkpoints, soldiers, tanks, and the government. On the other hand, when the person doing the experiment went and asked israelis id they hate palestinians and the scale of which they hate them, they mainly responded with low numbers. The reason why is because they are considered the superior ones on every platform whether it is the media or anything else. Some of the people in the video said that "they need us" "they come here to work". Yes it is the case that several go to "israel" to work but that does not mean that they need the israeli government and the country of israel to find a job. They said that they have palestinian friends and they are amazing to each other, now that is great to hear, but when he said the reasoning behind that is work, he lost me. Go to any country where there is an occupied and an occupier and ask the questions the same way you asked the Palestinians and the israelis and you will find out that the occupied will always hate the government of the occupier. But the occupier is "technically" more superior and view the occupied as poor, uneducated, and sad; therefore they would never respond saying that they hate them. In addition, when a project and a study is done, make sure that the test is tested equally and the same questions are being asked. There are many more aspects of these studies that should be explained more in depth and more questions that should be asked in order to make such a study because this is a complicated situation and conclusions should not be made based off of two questions.

With the people in Israel, the third question was always "how much do you hate Palestinians?" but when the Palestinians were asked that question in reverse, it became "how much do you hate Israel/Jews/Israelis?" so they were answering different questions. Hi Corey, I really appreciate your videos, and this one was also interesting. I did just want to say that I felt the answers were not consistent because the interviewees were asked about their attitudes to Israel in some cases but about their attitudes to Israelis in other cases. As a few interviewees pointed out, some of them saw a strong difference between Israel as a state and Israelis as people (though some did not distinguish between the two even when asked about this). This nuance was lost when people were only asked about Israel. It also made this video less comparable to the similar video asking Israelis about their views on Palestinians, where the question itself was more disposed to lead to discussion about attitudes towards people more than towards a governing power. Maybe the links that pop up during the video could reflect this by saying "What did _______s say to a similar question?" On a slightly different note, I think you had a very intriguing insight that personal contact with civilian Jewish Israelis does seem to affect Palestinians' attitudes; this is a valuable connection that you made in both this video and your video on Palestinian views on having Israeli neighbors. I would be curious if Palestinians tend to agree that this might make a difference in their views, and if they'd be open to meeting civilian Jewish Israelis if the opportunity was present.

As someone who has lived in a country torn by a similar type of conflict, I would say that it is extremely important WHERE you ask these types of questions; attitudes can vary hugely from town to town, city to city, etc. Some areas may be more prone to conflict, and so views will change more wildly compared to integrated areas.
