Smgs are perfect to engage non cooperative people and rogue drones. They provide adequate firepower without sacrificing your main arm. The same applies to pistols. (Experience from previous aliens game)
Great assortment of weapons. Sound effects, the muzzle flashes, heat blur and tracers..its all there and looks great. I think i am gonna get this game. Cool video.

The pulse rifle, and its variants use caseless ammunition, most of the guns that don’t eject cartridges use caseless , this explained so that the guns can be used in zero gravity without having to worry about the burning hot shell casings flying off into a teammate
I still hope they add the original pulse rifle and flamethrower from the movie into the game. The new guns look cool but they also remind me of something that might fit into Doom Eternal better than Aliens (lots of glowy bits).
That micro rocket launcher is like straight out of Predator. The pulse rifle doesn't have the intergrated grenade launcher, probably because of the M12A1, M94 & M95 I guess and them and the Smartgun seems doesn't need the arm like in the film.

Lordy, seeing the DT-57 MEDVED in a setting where stock handle weapons and double barrels would appear so primitive yet someone said a rock on a stick is more primitive than a sword but the thing is, primitive or not, a good swing to the cranium still fucking socks.
Honestly would of been better if this game was an FPS instead. The weapons still look great, but would rather see them in first person to truly admire their power and beauty.

Yeah some game journalists said the 2 shot shotgun had horrible reload speed i honestly dont see it plus you obviously need certain attachments to work out its actual problems if able

This Aliens series was much different than the previous, and it was good. But the rifles were no longer have underslung launchers, so I wonder if they can add it...
It's because they are different models the m41a1 has the underlying grenade launcher the game only has the A2 and A3 variants but I dont think they will add due to it being OP compared to the other rifles.

Just a head marines you can unlock the Kramer assault rifle in the higher difficulty’s, and probably even more by finding hidden caches and complete the higher difficulty’s
Hmm people disliked these sounds ..im surprised but not surprised ..i like anti tank rifles so ya these sounds dont bother me ...they arent bad just everybody is expecting current weapon sounds without the fact these are futuristic
I think most people disliked because they sound overall weak, and while they clearly tried to replicate the iconic Pulse Rifle/Smartgun sound without using the sfx from the movies, the final result was a quick looping, flanger and phaser filled disappointment.
Ima be "that guy" for just a second... but it would have been really cool if the heavy weapons had the support frame/belt attachment that Vasquez and Drake had. I'm just an old school fan. Overall I am impressed with these weapons and games is great compared to other Alien games!

The animation quality zig-zags between decent and bad. On one hand you got weapons like the Pulse Rifle having a working ammunition counter and you can visibly see the magazines being removed when reloaded. But on the other hand the charging handles never move when chambering and even more egregious is the shotgun pump-handle being completely static, not to mention that the ejected shells look far too large than they should be. The animations aren't a deal-breaker but the fact that the camera FOV is so close to the Marine makes these bad animations stand out more than any other typical TPS game.
Its really smooth and fun, good for kicking back and just chilling with homies. the hard modes make it more interesting tho and there's challenge cards that make you do challenges in game, Yesterday i had a gun jamming card so basically our guns would jam randomly it was a pain in the ass but funny asf
feels weird seeing the Smart gun firing without its harness wasn't the harness a crucial part of the making the gun "smart" and aided in aiming the gun with servo assisted aiming.
Theres only one problem i have with alien's fire team, ONLY ONE!, i wish the automatic rifles had more oomph to them, because they feel pretty weighless with no real kick. But other than that i love all the other weapons, ESPECIALLY the smart gun, when i saw Aliens as a kid i wanted a toy version of that gun, and while i never did get to have that im getting to have fun with it here.

I don't know what the hell they were thinking when they put that joke of a "minigun" in the game with that stupidly low capacity and fire rate, not to mention an unrealistic "spin up". What are people using for the harder difficulties? I got my hands on something that isn't even in this video. The autocannon. Allegedly high powered, but it was taking several rounds to take down basic alien runners on the extreme difficulty. How on earth does anyone have enough ammo/health in those difficulties?

Pulse Rifle shoots 3 bullets but only 1 is depleted from the magazine. Is there anywhere a sound file that contains pulse rifle shooting just once?

Try the challenge card that gives 3 times recoil. You might like it. Made the smartgun feel heavy as hell lol

You get the L36 halbred rifle in one of the missions you complete. The M42A3 Sniper rifle is unlocked by beating the game.
