    I wish to know more about VOIP?

    • @PublicHealthResources
      @PublicHealthResources  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question Dr.
      VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol is a technology used to make phone calls through your internet connection instead of a regular landline or a mobile network. It has become very popular these days. It is way cheaper than using the other technologies. Example of a product using this technology is our popular WhatsApp. The calls that we make on WhatsApp am sure you know it is digital and doesn’t use mobile network, just the internet connection. Skype, google hangouts, Viber e.t.c all use the same technology. 😊

    Thank you so much for this insightful lecture which I learn new things like HIPAA compliance. My organization uses Microsoft teams app as it’s official software app. I felt it has some advantage over skype such as:
    1. Popularity
    2. Simplicity of use
    3. Integration with other Office 365 apps with a more extensive chat capabilities (e.g. private chats, group chats, file sharing, option to co-author content)
    4. Compatibility: Many organization uses this which is more better to send them invites for online meeting options (team meetings, live streaming, and conference calls for mobile, desktop, and conference Room Systems)
    5. Cross-device communications within the Microsoft partner ecosystem with a high enterprise-grade security and compliance.
    6.Phone system and calling plans that allow for making/receiving calls via phone, mobile, PC and Mac
    7. No technical hiccups as the Skype

    That was a precise and mind blowing lecture sir, kudos.
    Ques1: In my organization, we make more use of telegram, zoom and WhatsApp for seminars, presentation and meetings.
    Ques2: Well as much as they all have similar features, I personally feel the use of skype and all others is tailored towards individual or organizational needs and priority,hence one being better than the other.
    For instance to me, I feel telegram is an open source unlike Skype, it is more affordable, very fast in terms of speed, allow you share large document,allow screen sharing and of course multiple users and a whole lot more.
    All of these doesn't undermine the strength of skype either.
    Thank you.
