Nishikori's backhand is a thing of beauty. So much penetration, variety and depth. And Thompson has been in form of late going deep in to tournaments to outplay and out maneuver him like that is really special.
El talento de Kei Nishikori está vivo señores, como me gusta verlo jugar, es tan inteligente en cancha, sus tiros hacen daño y sabe distribuir su juego, como en los viejos tiempos Kei 💪🏿🇯🇵
Nishikori has a crazy backhand - one of the best on the ATP tour, for sure. Even saw that jumping forehand, which he used to hit a fair bit as a teenager!!
He played with a very modest opponent. Let's see how he plays with some stronger opponent, come on. This year he has been embarrassing, and I don't see him doing something better from now to end of year.
@@usermatisse I really dont think, if it had been Zverev, Alcaraz or Sinner he would have lost this match. He played incredible this match, you can say anything else. But yes i agree. Rune has had a very dissapointing season.
@@WFtennis no way he could win with this sinner and this Alcaraz. Maybe with Zverev and even that would have been difficult. He's currently able only to win with under 50 players
Nishioka has an incredbily high physical disadvantage compared to let's say Rune. He is not only short, his body is also not exactly a "Terminator" type, soft and a bit chubby. It is actually a wonder and shows his great talent that he is competing at the elite level.
Happy for Nishikori. He is the real deal too. If it was for the relentless injury problems that have plagued his career right from the beginning, he would've had 5 or 6 GS's to his name.
I feel happy for Kei he is back beating top players. I thought he could make it Vs Rune maybe but Rune is finding form again since Cincinatti. When Rune is at high level he is top 10 level. If not top 5. Rune's forehand especially is getting scary good. And his serve Vs Nishioka are you kidding? 😅
@@FloryIypeRune doesn't have a big hole in his game like Tsitsipas backhand. His problems are strategy and tactics which can be fixed. Technical problems are a lot harder to fix.
@@alburaq3290 His problem is the people around him, and his mentality. He's faaar too arrogant, and his mother is way too present. It's not sane, just look at Tsitsipas and his father
@@Fentoscopique Yes I agree. With a right team handling him he can go very far. Tsitsipas as well, but he also has technical deficiency and his backhand will always be a weakness I'm afraid.
no shade or anything, but i am curious to know if anyone can spot any changes holger has made to his game with the new coach? i'm not seeing any differences
Rune has always been such an amazing guy but due to a few incidents people call him a horrible person... totatally unfair to him but glad to see he's showing his true colors so people can tell how nice of a guy he is
People just don’t like him because he can be childish and arrogant, anyone saying he is a terrible human being was out of pocket and should never be taken seriously.
I still find it awful that the ball kids are expected to handle the sweaty, unhygienic towels of the players. Covid has not totally disappeared and flu is always about.
But who is Nishicogorino? A modest tennis player, a star missing!? When Rune plays and wins I enjoy very much of this very good tennis player, I am sure that he will enter into the Atp 10 top players, in short time.
Nishikori is amazing👍
So good to see him back in the mix again!
LET'S GO KEI!!!🇯🇵💪💪🔥🔥
Hahahahahahaha

Kei vs Rune is gonna be awesome. Love them both but rooting for the resurgence of Kei!

So glad to see Kei doing well 🎉❤
Nishikori produced one of the best footwork I've EVER seen. So impressive! He seems to be back at his best level. Hopefully he'll stay fit!
On his prime, Nishikori is one of the top players.
Wish him injury-free, and healthy. Best of luck.
He’s not never won a grand slam never was even in contention average at best

Good to Nishikori and Cilic to be back in form, love these guys ❤
Good to see Nishikori fit and back in fine form.

Kei's footwork is still absolutely elite.
Holger Rune played the best tennis i have seen him play this year, wow he was good. He served amazing, 28 winners. Honesty he was so so good
9 Asses out of his first 18 serves😂👍🏼

Jeez Nishikori still quick and precise as always and Rune just sheer dominance in that game
Rune is turning into a fine young man now..keep it up..✌️🇳🇿
Tennis TV, god bless you for putting together a 15 minute highlight video.
What a win by Kei!!
I hope there are more tournaments in Japan because the stadium is full of fans, and they are very polite😊
Kei is one tough customer. Climbing back is one of the hardest things in this increasingly difficult sport. Keep on Climbing mate☝🏽
Seeing good things out of Michelsen. Good luck!
Also well done Machac to hold on against a tough opponent.
Nishikori backhand🔥🔥🔥.
Nishicori was rejuvenated 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome and Wonderful for you Nishikori🙌 and both played well .👀💪👏👍🏽

Nishikori is so cool
When Nishikori wins, Japan becomes brighter.🎉
It was real bright in August of 1945!

Nishikori is the Beast!!!!!! Plays like a dream!!!

1980s-born: 1 (Nishikori)
1990s-born: 1 (Humbert)
2000s-born: 6 (Macháč, Draper, Shelton, Rune, Fils, Michelsen)
Michelsen vs Machac should be interesting. I remember their match in Geneva got good at the end.
Nishioka usually plays well , he still has potential and can improve his game more. 👀🤔👍🏽🤷♂️
9:42 ,Aka chan really love that point.
If Nishikori were not so Long injured He will be a Grand Slam Champion Trust me !
Ermm, no. Kei was crushed by Cilic at USO long before his injuries.
Congrats Rune ! 👀👏👍🏽💪
Love how the Japanese are so vocal but polite on nishikoris points. Also I hope rune finds his form again.
Rune's potential is enormous, I hope he will fulfill it in 2025, because if he can, we are in for a magical ride...
