More vids than necessary on TH-cam about carbine/AR setup...not very many on Precision Rifles. This video does an excellent job of explaining comb, cheek weld, eye relief, ocular adj. and very detailed explanation of parallax. You confrim the technique of conforming/adjusting the gun to the shooter for consistency. The first precision rifle I was issued as LEO I was told to conform to rifle without altering the rifle, because the rifle will do its part if I do mine. I struggled for a year and a half before a school/instructor explained the right way to run a bolt gun...adj. the gun to YOU!. Thanks for your vid! And your service!
My wife is interested in learning this down here in Southern California. What school would you suggest for this? She was very impressed with the tutorial on paralax and scope setting and how it all works from the multiple planes to the scope distances from eye to scope, etc. Thank you for such a great tutorial and hope to hear back from you.
Thankz! Been searching for a setup sequence that isn’t done by a moron! Well done. Next is; what is proper distance. I’m using a 55grn 5.56mm zeroed at 50m. Any tips ya would like to impart? I’m good up to 300m and I know I need a heavier more powerful bullet for over 700m. BUT... it is what it is, sooo. With just a 5.56mm at 700m oh, it’s a Beriska scope. No mil Dots or Moa dots. Just cross hairs. I know, I’m cheap. (Poor🤣) any suggestions (that I can afford?) Thank you very much. And yes more on precision shooting pls.
