Bill Barnwell was one of my favorite sportswriters when he was with Grantland. I loved his statistical analysis of the sport, then ESPN shutters Grantland and brings him on, and subsequently neuters his work...
This really highlighted how difficult the CB position truly is. The receiver can be as physical and aggressive as he wants and the corner has to stay within certain boundaries to not get flagged. It's an offense driven league (big one offense is what sells tickets) but man it really makes you appreciate elite defensive talent like Ramsey.

As a giants fan, I was ecstatic when the cowboys took Zeke over Ramsay. This kid would be Odell's kryptonite. No other corner in the division worries me, especially that hack Norman. The ski is the limit for Jalen Ramsay.
4:00 that isn't a specific route as s receiver you're taught to stem your route at the dbs shoulder (3step stem) whether it be to the left or to the right. He ran a normal flag route all he did was stem his route according to where the db was lined up. running the out this way with the way Ramsey was lined up will typically make the db over run the route which makes it easier to push and rip the db like you saw in the video.
This is why ESPN is failing. They would rather talk about Tom Brady's turkey sandwich than have in depth analysis like this.
