I really liked how the “sons of Thunder” nickname that Jesus gave John and James was tied into the storm that was happening outside in the flash forward. This show does such a great job humanizing these people who we, in many cases, hold up as better than us because they were with Christ. The disciples were human who had short comings just as we do. And Jesus was all God but also all man. He had emotions, felt sorrow and love. Christ was tempted in every manner as us yet without sin.
    Love the show

We have early church traditions that point to Mark's gospel being based largely on Peter's testimony. Matthew may well have written the gospel attributed to him, and has that attention to detail that The Chosen writer's creatively attributed to him. If so, he added details not included in Mark. Luke was a traveling companion of Paul who tried to fit the various credible forms of testimony around together; like others, theres a hypothesized set of creedal oral traditions (exclusively consisting of Jesus' sayings) called "Q" that the synoptic writers used.
John would have written his gospel last, and did it specifically with an eye to refute Christian groups with low christologies. If the traditions are accurate, John did it a bit reluctantly. Given the literary genre at the time, it's quite possible John "theologized" the most--not in the sense that He made anything up, but in the sense that it was acceptable to write an account even more faithful than history by infusing Jesus' words with what the church learned that they actually meant.
My source is "The Case for Jesus" by Brant Pitre.

The flash forward in S2 E1 was such a cool, unexpected and powerful scene! Seeing the Disciples after Jesus had left and how they are still processing what they had experienced in their literal their walk with Him on earth. And how they now too (as every believer has had to since those few years Jesus was on earth) have to learn how to live for him without him actually being with them in person… Thank you for giving a glimpse of what could have been!

The Chosen what a beautiful way for GOD to make these things known.
It’s unfathomable what kind of men these disciples were.
I understand the correlation that they were like you and I and so on.
But we have our understanding and faith from what they accomplished with much greater faith!
We have the New Testament and especially now CHRIST is a household understanding.
But these men had none of the tools we have,
We are in the last days and if that makes you sad then search harder for CHRIST because the thought of leaving this fallen world
    should make you happy
The disciples had CHRIST during the first coming.
Now the disciples of the last days have everything they need for HIS second coming!
All we need is GODS will in our lives, that’s it nothing else

This is one of my favorite scenes. I feel like I am there with all of them , feeling their suffering and awe over what has happened. The acting was superb! As always, I appreciate the BTS you share with us.

This was one of my favourite episodes. I loved how Jesus was reading from Genesis and John's gospel was being read in counterpoint.
Great juxtaposition showing the unity of the old and the new testaments.

Well, that was so cool, how there was lightning and thunder with the rain, that was all made by very talented technicians. The makeup artist are really amazing too. This was so moving. I felt a holy reverence of just how the disciples must have felt when they were gathered and remembering of each moment of their encounters with Christ, wanting to remember every detail. Thank Dallas and the Chosen team for making such a remarkable show. ❤️✝️

Jesus is coming! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! I made this channel because I felt guilty for not witnessing enough, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!

Regarding: "It may feel silent at times, but He's holding you close!"
      That sounds familiar...
Several years back I was having a small stroke. I lost consciousness of this world, and found myself in a white area.
Noone else was there, except 'me', whatever 'me' was. I didn't know what I was!
      No sound,
      No feeling,
      No sensory input.
Finally I, whatever 'I was', noticed there were no walls, ceiling or floor (as if in a white bubble).
When I looked back on the experience it seemed to last a long time.
So eventually I woke up and I knew who I was, my name etc.
Since I had gotten 'saved' I was always aware of Gods' presence.
"God, where were You?! Did You leave me all alone during that time?"
"You wouldn't do that...so where were You, and where was I ?"
I asked Him this every so often. Then this year He told me that I was inside Him. He put me inside Himself.
      Me: "Ohooo........"
So... He knew right where I was, who, why etc...that I was.
      He was protecting me!
      ...That's my God!
      .......
I think I'm more aware of Holy Spirit now!!!
