@@TheChosenSeries But he killed Ramah ;C Why did he bump into Quintus with his arm when he was waving his sword around? He could just take Ramah and go further away from Quintus and most importantly not bump into him.
@@Patrick-kh9hy its for the plot and development of Thomas. In a later episode u see how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and Jesus didn't raise Ramah in the same way. This leads Thomas to doubt. Or atleast thats what my interpretation is (correct me if i am wrong).
@@The_Mekkara Yes but it was poorly done. 1. Thomas killed Ramah. The way it was done he could just walk away further from Quintus. It should have been shown like they had nowhere to run and then Romans got to them. 2. Jesus unnecessarily fought with some pharasis - he knew Ramah would die there so its like he killed her abit too. Like he made a scene on purpose, I hated this episode for those reasons. I know its for character developments but come on. It was done so badly. PS I hate the apostoles chapter where Peter kills 2 of the people who gave away only half of all their money to the ministry. So if they didnt give anything they would live..This part in the Bible doesnt make sense to me so bad, complete opposite of what Jesus stood for..and yet Holy Spirit made it so through Peter. I understand the series is aiming for 7 seasons, but I would love if you could pull of 3 additional seasons following “The Chosen” through Acts, the letters, aging them, showing how the church grew, changed, as they aged and died. @thechosen
Agree except I don't think 3 seasons would be enough to do it justice. After all, Paul was an Apostle who "acted" - was featured in Acts - & we know his letters span his career... which pretty much covers everything except Revelation, but that alone could easily be it's own episode & perhaps even season? Idk it would be an ambitious project, but of anyone currently on the planet I think Dallas could handle it best & especially in keeping in congruity with the already established "Chosen" series.
I love the Chosen Series. I am a person of strong faith and in each and every episode I find something that touches my heart and soul. Thank you for all you do! 😊

Ramos passing was very heartbreaking. I loved her passion, though for the Lord as she had said to continue to follow him to Thomas. I would love it if it were possible if you could have English audio description for these Shows. I feel that this would be helpful although I know that you guys have to spend so much money in to putting these films together. You guys do an incredible job overall, and I have to say no show Will ever be made like this one. Great job to all the cast members and the directors and filming crew behind-the-scenes. I hope you all have a lot of support and great blessings to come.
Beautiful scene and the build up to the ending is brilliant. So watching Thomas emotions and journey is amazing and powerful to watch which is part of the bigger picture.

Yes, and her last words to Thomas, "stay with Him", must have given him just the necessary strength to 'stay'. Though totally broken, with no resources within himself, he just stayed. He said very beautifully in a conversation with Peter later on: "It is too painful to be here, and yet there is no place I'd rather be".(Sorry if my qouting was incorrect, I just took it from my memory right now!) Somehow it's the testemony of the broken follower, the one who has reached 'rock bottom', yet following, feeling 'dead' inside, yet not leaving. Such a testemony is of unmeasureable value. Even in theatre but ESPECIALLY in film because there’s so much subtlety in the face and in the eyes that you might not get completely with theater but with film it’s so important to get emotions! ❤️
this scene hurt more than you know. I cried so much when I saw it in the theater. She was my favorite character too and I was just as angry with Jesus as Thomas was. They all did a great job with the acting and the emotions
I appreciate the exploration of how Jesus is still there even when tragedy happens...it can be the death of your loved one, or other loss and grief...we face these times in this broken world and it was good to see it enacted. Thank you Chosen team.
Yall made this so sad I ended up crying so much like I had a stomachache at freakin 1-2am and another the next morning AND I’m also planning an edit on this scene on May 2nd
The first time I saw it, I couldn’t breathe….. tears streaming down my face. So heartbroken for Thomas! I still cry a little each time I watch it….. incredibly moving!
I actually grew up in a small town named Ramah. I loved the character Ramah right from the start from the mention of her name and the excellent character portrayal, so when I watched the scene, it definitely touched my sole with very heart felt and real emotion. I appreciate the deep reach that The Chosen has on my spirit and mind. Thanks to everyone helping make this happen.
This made me sob so hard in the theatre’s I COULD not breathe. I HAD A PANIC ATTACK! This was the hardest scene to watch. I almost had to be taken out of the theater cuz I was crying so loud lol. I’m so glad this happened though. I feel like it was necessary though. It teaches that Jesus did NOT heal/raise everyone. The way this was planned from season 1 and it never got out to the public was really surprising! Thx for this! I hope we see some sort of Ramah flashback though in the future ☺️
That was such a sad scene. Great acting. It was so hard to watch. God bless each one of these actors. Great job. Keep up the great job. I wise she didn't have to die. Amazing episode.
This scene was the most heartbreaking scene I have watched in the Chosen thus far. It tore me up the worst any episode ever has. But it was so, so beautifully done. The acting, the facial expressions, the slow-mo and music. I could tell the moment was coming moments before it did and was literally clutching my brother in the seat next to me while I sobbed. It'll be a moment in the series I never forget, that's for sure!
As a lifelong student of the Bible, I appreciate so much your willingness to “humanize” the really tough questions we all confront in our lives. Why does Jesus not always choose to heal those who he loves? How does Jesus respond to our frustration with His choices? What should I do with my disappointment in God, without losing my faith. Sola Deo Gloria.
My wife and I watched the first two seasons 10+ times, season 3, four to six times, season 4 once. Our joy over The Chosen Got murdered with Ramah. We still support monthly and pray for the whole production, but not with the passion we once had. We always prayed Holy Spirit would present The Chosen according to the heart of God, so I have to accept Ramah's death, because God answers our prayers. This interview helped start the healing process, but we're still going to need God's personal touch to revive our joy. Thank you so much for this interview with Joey and Yas. God bless each of you wonderfully!
I really understand part of the "why."????.. after this happened to him... and why he was called a "doubter"... it is possible that he had his doubts... after his one and only true love Ramah, she suddenly died that way, the Bible never really gave us the reasons ... why he doubted.. perhaps he was a doubter before he ever met Jesus but I'm sure WE ALL HAVE OUR >>> DOUBTS .. Yasmine & Joey have been amazing thru the entire series, but I was severely overwhelmed with emotion, during this episode, and totally unable to pull myself together feeling the horror and pain. What incredible actors, starting with Jonathan and every single cast member are Academy award level actors.
To know the love that they shared before her death is phenomenal. Only to lose her life before before the Union could be complete is heart touching. I cried watching this moment. It is so rude to me thank you for this.
It was so shocking, but will help plausibly explain why Thomas says and does some of things recorded in scripture. This is the artist’s (Dallas) vision and I respect his work.
It made me cry 😭 when I saw this episode. I also can relate to it because I have lost a lot of people I loved.. and I also struggle with “Why does Jesus heal other people in other families but not people in my family?” So I can relate to how Thomas feels about everything.
I was shocked by this scene and never thought it would end like that. My heart broke just seeing everything from when Ramag died to when Thomas was just grieving
My previous comment aside... When you consider that the purpose of acting/theater/film is to give you a safe space to "feel things" - things like deep grieving which I daresay is very profound & difficult to do - then we must agree that this "Chosen" episode is EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL & especially in that the grief is felt continuously over several episodes & even now we see people in the comments grieving still over episodes they watched months ago... & this is the nature of grief. It may even perform the function of allaying some of the grief we know is coming in Season 6? Not to take anything away from that necessary thing, but always keep in mind that "joy comes in the morning" for you, for me, for Thomas, for everyone. 🙌✝️🙌 To sum, & on a more personal note, I can only say I am grateful that I am almost 10 years past the death of my father - which was the most devastating & long-lasting episode of grieving I've ever had in my life - because I'm not sure I could have handled the passing of Ramah otherwise. Anyway, bravo to making us feel what grief really feels like & thus preparing us for the inevitable yet to come.
I thank you for making the chosen. Love it so much. You have reached so many people and bought them to Jesus. Many more will come to Jesus because of your work. God bless you all & keep up the great work.
Absolutely brilliant work! This series has broken me many times, and this particular scene and Thomas' struggle afterward (Jesus' pain as well) has been, without a doubt, the most challenging portion of the series to date personally. I've shared the despair and confusion that Thomas is enduring in my own life. Thank you for creating an opportunity to challenge my faith and reflect further in my own struggles. I pray this not only strengthens those of us walking with Christ, it brings others to Him. God Bless!
I remember in Dallas saying that the next few seasons would start to get emotionally challenging, and I thought I'd be able to handle whatever I was to see- I haven't cried to a movie/show in long years. But this, this broke me. And to see Thomas suffer afterward had me crying for an hour.
I thought Joey was completely brilliant. Such PAIN in his eyes - and confusion and horror. Really really brilliant.

To sum, & on a more personal note, I can only say I am grateful that I am almost 10 years past the death of my father - which was the most devastating & long-lasting episode of grieving I've ever had in my life - because I'm not sure I could have handled the passing of Ramah otherwise. Anyway, bravo to making us feel what grief really feels like & thus preparing us for the inevitable yet to come.
...Joy comes in the morning....
Thank you for sharing this!
God Bless!
Rema was so beautiful! I wish she was still part of the story.
I remember in Dallas saying that the next few seasons would start to get emotionally challenging, and I thought I'd be able to handle whatever I was to see- I haven't cried to a movie/show in long years. But this, this broke me. And to see Thomas suffer afterward had me crying for an hour.
Yasmine Al-Bustami is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful.
Honestly, I haven’t been the same since her character was murdered.
I was frozen in shock! Did not see this coming 💔
