    First time seeing you, I followed the link from a TH-cam commercial (so glad I didn’t automatically hit the “skip ads” button 😂) This was so much fun to watch! I am so, so, SOOO tired of my 27 year old shower walls and have wanted to do SOMETHING to change them. Lol, I just know the tiles mock me every time I get in, as if to say, “Ha! You’re stuck with us!” Now I know what I’m going to do and I’m really excited! Thank you so much for providing the materials and information for all the DIYers out here 😃😃

    Have you guys ever considered pouring directly on kerdi board? I believe it’s the same XPS product as the rigid foam, yet it’s 100% waterproof. Maybe it would save a step because it is more rigid than the foam insulation and you can probably skip the fiberglass.

    • @StoneCoatCountertops
      @StoneCoatCountertops  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Have both your lighter and more bolder exotic pour buckets built at the same time. Pour out the bold color vein where you want and quickly follow on both sides of the bold vein with the lighter color bucket. This will keep the bolder vein from stretching and getting less vivid. Then continue to fill the rest of the countertop or shower with the lighter colored less busy exotic pour. Let me know if you have any further questions!

      Similar to the little glass blocks at gift shops that have laser etching in them basically inserted into the wall then sealed over with a top coat.
      You would be able to pour the pocketed area first, let dry. Then top coat over which would incapsulate and waterproof it. You could possibly even do it all in one shot if you're experienced enough
