  • #DominicanRepublic has more to offer than just the resorts in Punta Cana! We take a public bus out of Santo Domingo to #Barahona, in the Southwest of Dominican Republic.
We discovered the crystal clear rivers and admired the turquoise #carribean sea. We also take a tour to hike La Plaza to swim in crystal clear pools then head to check out Los Patos.

Nice video guys. That area of the DR is the least developed but it has a great potential. So far gives you a unique vibe.

Recently in the administration of the current president is starting to develop the area of Pedernales wich will bring more development to those areas.

Glad to see you visited Barahona. Barahona it is not a popular tourist attraction like Samana, Puerto Plata, La Romana or Punta Cana, but it does has a lot of potential.

I just came across your channel and so far love tour honesto reviews! I was born in Dominican Republic but have lived most of mynlife in the US now. Whenever you see a guy with a rifle, usually those are "guachiman" or watchmen. They are like security guards and the rifles are to scare away danger 😅 but I usually trust someone holding one of those more than those who don't show what they're carying lol

Great video guys, the Machete is mainly common because working people that leave in the country use them everyday, working in the field , making way on paths with overgrown vegetation, opening up a coconut etc… it is something that every working man or woman will carry , so it is super common.

That is what our guide explained to us as well! It’s interesting to see it being such a common tool for locals in the area

Nice video! A little friendly tip... The H is not pronounced in Spanish. It's pronounced BARAONA in English and Spanish. No H.
