    Salam~
There are people don't believe in the truth, they rather believe in what they want to
And so, the non-believers want to believe in some misinterpretation of the Islamic teachings in order to sully the religion, to present Islam in a negative way.
Arabic is an old and comprehensive language, 1 word can have many meanings depending on the context, the preposition coming with it,...
According to a research, the phrase "idribohunna" (root: daraba) has around 30 different meanings (such as: to give example, to present, to set forth, to leave, to shun, to hit, to tap, to cover,...)
And most verses in the Quran where this root "daraba" appears, the meaning tends to be "to give example", "to present",...
There are verses in the Quran talking about hitting (satan and enemies), the word "hitting" used there was not root "daraba", it was something completely different.
"Idribuhunna" could mean "to tap" (with a siwak (toothbrush)), like to catch her attention to the discussion, to let her know that this argument is important, we need to solve it.
If "idribuhunna" here was meant as "to shun", it is also reasonable. Because the previous lines said "leave them in bed", so doesn't it sound smooth when it is put like this "admonish them, leave them in bed and shun them."
So in general, "daraba" is one of the Arabic words that have multiple meanings, root "daraba" is not usually be understood as "to hit", "to beat", there is other words for that. Root "daraba" here in Quran 4:34 rather means "to tap", as many scholars said, symbolic action: just to let your wife knows that you are upset, this is getting out of hand, our marriage is at risk.
Most importantly, read the whole verse and you see, this "tap" is put at the last action to take if the previous 2 ways doesn't work. "Admonish" and "leave her in bed", sleeping separately from your partner is actually really painful inside, if the wife is ok with that, then it could mean that their relationship is really at risk.
To support my explanation that "idribuhunna" should not mean to beat, here are some hadiths, quotes and narrations mentioning that the Prophet doesn't encourage beating your wife.
"“I (Muaviyah b. Haidah) said, “O Apostle of God! What is my duty to my wife?” He said, “That you give her to eat as you eat yourself, and clothe her as you clothe yourself; and do not slap her in the face nor abuse her, nor separate yourself from her in displeasure.”
The Quran clearly says, “Live with your wives in a good manner. If you dislike them in any manner, it may be that you dislike something in which Allah has placed much good for you” (Quran, 4:19). So, God commands man to be good to his wife even if he dislikes her.
Allah says, "Among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other. He places in your heart love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are signs for people who think." (30:21)"
"And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things]." ( Surah Nisa- 4:35) (Would you beat your wife and then tell her parents: "I beat up your daughter. Could to ask her to reconcile with me?" Because this is the next step in the Quran.)
As for the Messenger of Allah (sws), he said, "Could any of you beat your wife as he would a slave, and then lie with her in the evening?" (Bukhari and Muslim). There are other traditions in Abu Da'ud, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Ahmad bin Hanbal and others, to the effect that he forbade the beating of any woman, saying: "Never beat God's handmaidens."
So all these quotes and information I gave, isn't that they focus on reconciliation? If a man was permitted to beat his wife to death, why would he also be suggested to reconcile with her?
And another point is that, right in the beginning of verse 34 (surah Al-Nisa). "...Men are the protectors of women...". Should a protector beat the one who was to be protected? You hire a security guard and is he allowed to beat you? (Unless you are doing some harm to yourself and he needs to give you a tap to waken you, to bring you back to your normal state of mind, right?)
The Quran also mentioned in other verses that "live with them (your wives) with kindness" (4:19) and "do not retain them to harm them" (2:231). If God has told you repeatedly to treat your wives with kindness and not to harm them, he would allow you to beat her?
Additionally, the word "Nushuz" which is generally translated as "opposition" has another meaning which can be translated as degrees of disloyalty ranging from flirtation to sexual liaison. If we study 4:34 carefully we will find a clue that leads us to translate that word as "flirting or cheating" or "extramarital affair" (Any word or words that reflect the range of disloyalty in marriage).
So Nushuz is not "disobedience" like many people think, the 3 methods of "admonish, leave in bed, tap them" is only used when the women commit nushuz. And nushuz is not like when your wife forget to do chores, or she break a flower vase,... not like that. Nushuz is wrongful act regarding loyalty, in simple words, nushuz is about cheating in a relationship.
Let's say if religions and all weren't there, then when a wife cheat on her husband, and her husband find out, their could have been a murder. But Islam tells you to first talk with your wife about it, then leave the bed (this is like giving each other some space, and if the wife is regretful, she would come back to her husband), and then further discussion and a tap. These 3 steps are sufficient to prevent the violence out of anger, to prevent domestic violence, to prevent serious conflicts.
I hope my explanation is easy to understand to you, these are what I have learnt after doing quite some research on Surah Al-Nisa 4:34. I also struggled understanding this verse right, and Alhamdulillah, I think I cleared my way now and Islam, the Quran totally doesn't allow beating women, instead it teaches us to maintain the peaceful state and focus on reconciliation.
And Allah knows best. May Allah guides all of us. Ameen
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakaltu

Terrorism has been connected to Islam by some countries to have an excuse to wage wars. If you study history you will notice that today terrorist groups came after 9/11. Every muslim, if asked, would condemn terrorism. The problem is that the countries doing this need to be addressed. You do not need to ask to muslims you need to ask these powerful countries.

No doubt about islam but I have a question in my mind. Quran say (we created you as a pair ) pair mean 2 then only one person will be is pair . What about marrying 4 ? What about creating women from men's ,soulemate 's back born? Is the rest of women are not soulemate .

That verse is not specifically talking about men and women. Its talking about the duality of nature eg: for night there is day, for darkness there is light, for evilness there is goodness, for summer there is winter, for hot there is cold etc. Advice : Dont directly jump into reading the translation of the Quran directly. Read the Quran along with Tafsir.
