      Indeed, and the game is actually pretty decent. Game release will have most of those bugs worked out and I do look forward to the level progression to major disasters. I can see how they can add more DLC packs, but I really want to be able to Mod the game too ✊

      @b9bot148 I do have a suggestion if you're open to it 👀 maybe CBRN (Chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) incidents? Obviously it would be further down the road but it could be a lot of fun presenting very unique scenarios. Not sure how you'd work it into this game though.

      There are add-ons for more sirens and A fire Department uniform and Paint job for the Ambulance if you purchase the Deluxe edition of the game. "Well I didn't hear her complaining - oh wait, she's intubated." 😂
    EMT here, that reminded me of my old partner. Guy was a riot, could always make a laugh out of anything which was super great. Some partners I've had definitely were a lot like Angela and they made sure those 24/48hr shifts felt twice as long.

      Thanks, I am like this irl as well. This is how I deal with stress or any other emotional type of situation. Of course I only do this in front of certain individuals if the time is right. New hires think it is disrespectful, but they quickly learn not to wear their emotions on their sleeves pretty fast. 😄

      @BlueLineVibes Yeah I can imagine you being one of the beloved partners someone could work with. But yknow, the ones who were hard asses with no sense of humor were usually the jaded paramedics who thought it was incredulous that they were paired with "just an EMT" who "can't do anything" like brother, we all start somewhere. Way to make me feel even worse about my job and wanting to stay smh.

    As a Type 1 diabetic, I totally get the thought behind refusing the hospital. Ambulance ride alone is gonna financially run me an arm and leg I'm already liable to lose thanks to the disease, and once my sugar is on it's way back up I'll start feeling better soon enough. That said I've had repeated low sugars which led to me actually needing to go to the hospital.

    • @BlueLineVibes
      @BlueLineVibes  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

      Exactly 100%
      Most people do not understand this, those that do not suffer from DM I - They think "You should go to the hospital" Personally I respect the decision of the patient. If they are able to talk to me and make a sound judgement, I usually just ask them to check their BS every few hours and make their own educated opinion. The ambulance ride for even a non emergency is close to $1k, if you throw in "checking vitals" well now ..... that will be an extra $100 every time I push a button. Sad really and I am not making lite of that.
      I wish you continued health my friend.

      @@BlueLineVibes I get so upset every time I hear of the US medical system, this is not to lay it on you personally, but it is a shame that money has to be a part of the equation when your health is at risk. The decision should be made from a health perspective only, ie. how do I feel, vs how do I feel about the bill. Also, this is not a field where the costumer can always chose, and its often a yes or no question, as you can go looking for the best price when you are actively bleeding out. The most paradoxical about the US health care system is that it cost more per capita than in some countries which have universal health care. I know us europeans bash the US for their health care system all the time. In this exact example I could actually understand not wanting to go to the hospital, if you had episodes like this enough times to know that you were alright and how to treat yourself, but if the cost of the ambulance ride scared somebody away from going that later got hurt or worse it would be a really sad situation.

      While yes, it's a good base for any game about first responder games. GTA 5 mods are VERY limited for the medical field currently.
      After 11 years, you think GTA 5 modding is at the point where we'd get super detailed first responding mids for FD, PD, EMT, etc? I'm afraid the game would crash as soon as you get into the game, if they existed.

      As I do agree it’s hard because lspdfr is great for police RP but these games for sure miss in so many directions I believe for me it starts with stuff like the graphics and clunkiness. If these games actually had had good lighting systems and physics it’d make there med and police gameplay more appealing.

      I used to be the same way with Ready or Not, since it has a level of a school shooting (I work for a University Police Dept and it's my worst nightmare), but after a while talking my other work related issues out and learning when/how to feel the emotions that build up on the job, I can play the level no problem. It took some effort and learning the tools to deal with it, and there definitely is just the factor of even wanting to return, but I hope you at least get to play these games again, and hope you give yourself the sympathy to let the drop out go, and see it as the best decision in the moment for you given the situation you were in, rather than a failure as you seem to imply it was.

    • @Hateires
      @Hateires 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      @@usedstarfighter9605 this is probably one of the nicest and most supportive things anyone has ever said to me online. Thank you, truly. It’s ironic you mentioned the school shooting…I live in Texas and while I’m nowhere near Uvalde, that day messed with me as much as my original trauma. Everything came back. It was horrible. Fireworks would send me into a panic. Then the Allen outlet shooting happened just miles from me. That’s a place I’ve been countless times, and on the same day and time I would typically be there. An active shooter is my absolute worst nightmare. Not at all related to the car wreck that caused my issues in the first place, but triggers the same response in my body. I’m just rambling now, but it’s so rare for me to run into someone who understands. I’m inspired that you were able to work through and play the level! Truly, thank you for sharing and for your kindness.

    One day, you'll be simulating complex stuff like Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation! We're already seeing games like this simulating Cardiac Arrests, Overdoses, etc! I remember when I was younger age 12, and I was playing Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2, and I remember I was doing an imaginary simulation, where there was a cardiac arrest! Obviously it wasn't a full simulation, but back then I was thinking how cool it would be if there was a game I could play where I could actually SIMULATE EMS response to such a situation. One time, I was sick, and I was feverish, and I had this VERY realistic dream of a game where I was simulating following the ACLS protocol. In my dream, the monitor/defibrillator was a Lifepak 10, as I was use to seeing a lot back then, and I remember how cool that dream was, and now look at where we are today!

    • @BlueLineVibes
      @BlueLineVibes  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Those dreams are starting to become a reality. I remember way before massive multiplayer games, I use to have daydreams of how cool it would be to play a game with 100 other people in a war simulation. You could drive tanks, jeeps, people running all over the ground to get to objectives with bombs going off over your head. Jets and helicopters fighting in the sky ..... that was years before Battlefield came out. Here we are years later and it has surpassed all of my daydreams.

    • @BlueLineVibes
      @BlueLineVibes  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well you can put the BP cuff on either arm technically, but it is advisable to put it on the opposite arm of the SPO2 (pulse Oximeter) as the cuff can get rather tight, it can potentially give a false reading for several seconds of a critical O2 level that you are watching. Usually it gives off an alert when that happens, pretty much the same alert if the Pulse Ox becomes detached.
      The game actually did something cool that I didn't talk about, if you have a tourniquet on both upper arms, you can't get a Pulse Ox on the patient :)

      I am looking forward to a more open style of gameplay. Bigger and better Callouts, unlocking new equipment to help with the larger callouts, better access to medication and procedures to help with the bigger callouts that you get with that type of equipment and medication. Once you complete a section of the map, then things open up even more, giving you that sense of accomplishment. After you complete everything there is to do, then the daily life starts as a medic. You might get an anxiety attack in one call, a scraped knee on another call and then a cardiac arrest the 4th call.

    Other than the temp being in F, this looks interesting, if a little US centric. I started as a medical scientist in a hospital pathology lab and mortuary. In 2009 I went through the recruitment for Ambulance Officer/Paramedic in my state, in my country, which is a fully government run service. Sadly, right at interview, I'd successfully completed all the testing, and was about to interview, when I developed a major illness and require the removal of the ileum. I self declared medically unfit to continue, due to the possible um issues during a long incident. I even had to step down from a direct firefighting with my volunteer firefighting role, though was able to volunteer in comms. I did manage to volunteer with St John First Aid in my state as a professional first aider, as, being event based, I could work around my condition in safety. Unfortunately, my partner suffered a CVA and I had to lose that as well, and am now her carer. Just goes to show how life can bowl you for stumps. Anyway, thank you for your service to the people of your city/town.

    • @BlueLineVibes
      @BlueLineVibes  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you for your service as well. The great thing about being apart of the medical field is that each and every person that is part of the field all share a comradery even if they have never met before. Whether they are employed in the states or across the pond so to speak. The end goal is the treatment of an individual that is in need of help. Even if it is supportive care, it is just as important as the individual seeking a surgical or drastic intervention.
      By the way, even though Ambulance Life a Paramedic Simulator, is sort of based off American Medicine, the developers want to bring the option for different reading formats(I.e. Celsius and Kilograms for example) I am already use to medication conversion with kilograms and pounds anyways, so I welcome the optional settings.

    Anamnesis according to google is basically patient history, not strictly a medical term though as it has other meanings depending on the context.

    For a computer game it hits the mark. Yes the full release will have more to do, medic wise. I am a 30 year plus paramedic and this was very enjoyable. Reminds of the old PC DOS game Life and Death. That would be a good remake. Thank you for posting.

I saw Faviano's video about it the other day and it made me think this would be a great game to see Mike from BLV play. Would love to see a full series of this game from you when it is released, assuming the gameplay is atleast as good as it appears to be in the demo.

    You know, I can honestly say, I hate going code 3 to the ER in the back, lol. I also worked at an agency that actively encouraged medics to stay on scene and perform all treatments you physically could then go code 1 unless the PT was very unstable or code STEMI or code stroke, etc. We even drew blood and started wide spectrum antibiotics on code septis. And we carried whole blood on QRVs, but somehow a lucas CPR machine was "just not in the budget" for the county lol 13 years before I just couldnt take being paid 12 bucks an hour and had to leave I miss it every day

    • @BlueLineVibes
      @BlueLineVibes  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      At that point you should have suggested to the medical director, that the ambulance could carry tents and start an urgent care center as well 😄 That is crazy the treatment options your department offered. We only have one area that is far from our jurisdiction that we have to assist with and it's 30 minutes away. Gotta love those 2am tones. If there were no cars on an open freeway for 10 miles we usually just leave lights on and cut the sirens as they can give you a headache for sure

    it's so good to see a real paramedic play a paramedic game. A question, in a multiple casualty accident, won't they send multiple ambulances. Won't you be able to ask for an additional ambulance? I am washing a paramedic tv show and whenever they get multiple casualties they ask for additional. Although I know a paramedic TV show won't be 100 percent accurate and also is based in Poland. I think I will download this game for myself and see how much am I gonna mess up.

    • @BlueLineVibes
      @BlueLineVibes  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Absolutely, they would have had a ton of medical response on scene. I think when the final game comes out, for a major catastrophe, they will have like small tents set up.

    Firstly, greetings from a German EMT.
    Its a bit funny, this Game simulates a US Ambulance but is made by a German studio, so when you're a professional, its look like the studio had asked German Paramedics about how they do stuff and just put a US Skin on it.
    For Example: “Anamnesis”... interesting, you never used this word. I use it literary use it at every single call, because one of the first paragraph in my patient protocol is "Patient Anamnesis". Its its called like this a lot of Times, especially in Training... "what was your Anamnesis of your patient". If you dont use that... what exactly would you call it, especially for such interaction markers?
    So, second call, some kind of explosion. If you wanna make further Videos, can you explain how Triage works in the US? I know this Game is a huge gamification about that, but i find it interesting to learn about different concepts on how to deal such calls.
    One thing we have since a few years is the SpCO... so we can measure CO with a big clips, looks like an PulsOx... is that a thing in the US too? We especially use them to looks for seriosnus of an CO Intox, so if its above 20%, we have to call a flight ambulance and gets the patient flewn into a pressure chamber, lower then 20%, transport into a burncare unit.
    The Car accident for is very weird... i know... a game... but what about "stay and play"? The patient has a severe B-Problem and a critical C-Problem thats needed to be treated. From the kinetic, i would assume spinal and pelvis injuries, so she would need immobilization with a backboard or a Vacuum mattress and definitely a pelvis cuff. I get it, some things are not simulated in the Game, but just drive her code 3 to the ER with unsolved B- and C-Problems feels very wrong.
    its sounds a bit like i want to say "oh, you make everything wrong and bla bla..." i'm sorry, i didnt mean it that way, i'm just interested in how things are done around the globe

      Yes many times for the traffic. I am usually in the back tending to the patient, but the days that I am driving and the traffic is heavy, and the traffic freezes or panics on full lock down, I usually blare my horn and change siren tones. If that doesn't work, I hop the curb and drive into oncoming traffic very carefully while I look to the side and yell at people.
      As far as death goes, the quick answer is yes unfortunately. Most are older, some are .... young.
