- This is a tutorial on setting up two DMR Networks using the DMRGateway on a PiStar hotspot.
Here is the info that you can copy and paste into your set up file.

Works like a charm! I had this set up before but also had DMR+ in DMR Gateway. Became somewhat of a hassle trying to connect and disconnect from three different servers. This works perfect! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video. The TGIF Parrot should be group and not private mode since it only works in group mode.

I did this and everything seems to work except when I go to 4000 Disconnect on BM it selects TG4000 but goes to TG9 right after.

Thanks for an excellent video. I did have problems with the audio on TGIF Parrot until I made it a group call. Then it worked perfect. 73

I also have the RFinder B1 and Im having trouble getting this set up.
I followed your script, cut and paste adding my dmr and my tgif password. However, on thepi-star dashboard, the DMR Net under "network status" is yellow. Any idea why? Also, I can connect to the DM talk groups, but not the TGIF TG's. My call sign does not appear on the monitoring page of the TGIF website when I key up.

what would i have to change to use a 7 digit dmr id talkgroup. in order to use 7 digits i need a 8 digit program starting with the number 1. anything above 1 it quotes out of range. Not sure it will work even then, because i can't enter an 8 digit talkgroup in the pi star to program a static dmr id talkgroup. Any ideas?
Was super-excited to try this...sadly, neither worked once going to GW mode. Couldn't establish on either master a connection (BM or TGIF). Tried switching masters as well on BM; no go. Switched back to single BM master, or TGIF and works perfectly. Using a TGIF 3.5" Nextion Hot Spot.
Not sure what the issue could be, a few people have had issues. I have set up 3 different hotspots and they all work fine .
@@w1msghamradio998 Thanks for the reply. It is indeed a bit of a puzzle and odd behavior. Noticed that when I'm doing the DMR GW function, that DMR is not showing as active in the dashboard. Odd. All the best to you!
If I already have a TGIFSpot HS, i.e. tgif is the only/primary network, would I add BM as the “Network 4” with rewrite prefixes in the same manner as adding tgif as “Network 4” as an additional network on a HS that is already set up for BM access? Thanks!
This is what you see, when you run the TGIF Parrot, with your programming. Because it is not pointing back at my Call Letters (W9BA), but at TG5009990, the Parrot does not work. Is there a fix for that? Thank you.

I used this for a while, but realized I did not use BM hardly at all.
So, I removed the update and I am only on TGIF now.
How can I set up BM to use the 5xxxxxx number and keep TGIF as the base TG ID?
I've followed your instructions to the T and I still cannot get this to work. Under Network Status my DMR Net light goes from Green to Red and im stuck. Any ideas to help?

Was it working Ok with a single DMR Master? Its not connecting via network for some reason. Apply settings then go to the Admin page live logs and see what pops up in the logs . If one fails to log into a master the whole thing will fail.
@@w1msghamradio998 Yes it connects for about one min then goes red. Works fine as Single DMR master but as soon as i do the dual master it doesn't hold. KD2SXD email good on QR Zed
Maybe try a different Brandmeister Master ?

Ron over at Bridgecom also had trouble with the TGIF Parrot and found he had to kerchunk the channel first, then hit it again for Parrot to work. Your results may differ. I found the same thing with Brandmeister. Thanks. Dave K8WPE

under Config my DMR doesnt offer all those options, I am running 4.1.2 am I missing something? 73 Ian
@ 5:05 he goes into it but trails off. Select dmr gateway AND click apply. Then it should give you some more options

Thanks for the video, followed it to the letter and still don't work on TGIF. Even tried changing ports with no success. I need help...
What version of Pi-Star are you using ?
They changed the server to prime.TGIF.network
I did everything u did and I don't keyup on either network bm or tgif PLEASE HELP
Do I need to add a 1 to bm what number for tgif?
I have a 4 for tgif
No idea what the problem could be. Some others have reported this as well. Could be a port conflict with the router but I am not sure ???
How do I fix the port issue?
@@nickgoldman805 I am just guessing it may be a port issue. I have never been able to duplicate the problems that a few have had. It always works for me and I have set it up on several hotspots for testing.
