    Fantastic and thank you @how-to-repair !!! Just saved me a minimum of £150 - worked a treat. Btw - to get the pump off (the white bit) there were two release pins, the one on the other side hard to access. Tip: use a small glasses screwdriver to flick the release clip out.

    Great video thank you! While this vid is a few years old now, the principles still apply. My Bosch WAQ28460 drain pump was making a hell of a racket each time it was draining out the water! I was "sure" the pump needed replacing. Followed the instructions and finally found a perfectly shaped 50p piece at the end of the sump and entrance to the pump. Too big to slip through, and just big enough to restrict water flow. How wrong I was about needing to replace the pump. In fact, having disconnected the washing machine from its 3 connections, and tipped the machine gently on its side, all I needed was a pair of pliers to help remove the rubber sump hose off and on the drain pump.

    Very instructive, thankyou. My Siemens IQ1430 , unlike the one you show, has a bottom plate that is riveted in place making access to the pump extremely difficult. In my case the pump rotor does not flick back when turned and released meaning that the pump fails to start though it is clean

    Yeah, so thanks for this video. I gleaned some useful information from it, such as stabilizing the drum before turning the machine on its side. However, few if any of the other details described my repair on an early model bosch nexxt. Maybe a disclaimer that states this only describes repairs to later models?

    Thank you for the video. I've bought a new pump after my Siemens WM12E46SGB/02 stopped emptying the water and the error was E18.
    The filter was cleaned and after opening the pump I realised one of the wire to the block connector was lose. What part do I need to buy after removing the block connector as I am trying to find how to repaired it.
    Many Thanks

    I have a Bosch washing machine waa24161gb01..I bought a new pump. I REALISED THAT THE SUMP TUBE WAS BLOCKED WITH AN OLD KEY, MONEY AND CURTAIN LINKS. In the end I didnt need to change the pump. I was lucky because the new pump has two spi connectors L and N and are at the back instead of the front of the pump. I would not have been able to solve this problem; is there an adapter or something called connector block which I could buy or did I just have the wrong type of pump. Al so my washing machine model has a front which is difficult to remove; I had problems accessing the screw. I need to buy a short handled screwdriver. Anyway I now have a working machine , have saved a £120.00, and have achieved a first time repair of a washing machine...thanks for your help.

    My new pump arrived, I have followed your instruction and tipped the machine over to find a metal plate that’s riveted on covering the complete underside of the machine, you never seemed to have one in the video and apart from drilling the rivets out I can’t see a way of removing it, any help would be appreciated

    • @whydoihavetoify
      @whydoihavetoify หลายเดือนก่อน

      I managed to remove the rivets and fitted the new pump and put it all back together and i thought it was fixed, it lasted 7 minutes and tripped my electric again, so now I have no clue what to do, any help would be much appreciated, if I drain the water and just use the spin cycle it works fine and doesn’t trip, which made me think it had something to do with the drain pump

    I have a Bosch Nexxt 800 Series Washer. It doesn't have the round door on front panel that can open and drain. Help! Where should I look on this model Bosch washer to drain my washer.

    I have a Bosch Washer, WFMC2201/UC/15. I have the need to replace the drain pump but i cant seem to be able to remove the side panel so i can access the pump. I can remove the top. Tried removing the front but it seems i will have to remove the rubber ring that connects the door and drum. I gave up on that idea. I have not removed the back panel but it seems the pump is located near the front. I have followed all the steps for cleaning the drain. I have tried to run through the wash,drain and spin cycles at least 3 times and i get e-13 or e3 errors. If you could provide any help it would be sincerely appreciated. I watched you video on how to replace a drain pump but it did not demonstrate how to get access from the side.

      I am having the same issue with my Siemens washing machine.
      I cannot get access to the drain pump through the bottom of the machine as it is closed and welded on.
      I also need access via the side or the front. The video you have linked to does not show how to get the front of the machine off - the repair is being done through the bottom of the appliance. Please help

    Y do you need to take off the back panel? Y not just take off top, putt in the towel and tilt to side to start working?

    so let me get this straight a seal is more expensive than a pump. So its easier to replace the pump that you have to break down the same amount as you do to replace the seal. Hmmm I go for the cheaper seal, about that easier I think that's easier and more cost effective. Video is outstanding advice not so much.
