Am I the only one who thinks Elgin is somehow going to be the key to everything? I don’t know why but I don’t think he’s evil or bad but he is def special
The pas de deux is a “step of 2”, a dance for 2. I think this was a metaphor for the ballerina (this place) showing Boyd what he needed to do in order to pass the worms to the monster and kill it. But I don’t know if she is related to the boy in white or not. There is a lot of questions still. That’s what I like about this show. Everyone can guess but nobody really knows. Not until they choose to tell us. It’s great.
Right. And it's also interesting that we haven't seen the boy in white in this entire season. Maybe the ballerina in white is connected to him, or is an aspect of his energy. She showed Boyd the worms probably, I think, to let him know that this is how you kill the monsters. And when she pinned him down, one hand was on his throat, mirroring the way Boyd would later put his hand on the monster's. throat.
Since Elgin's debut in the series at the beginning of season 2, I have felt he knew something more than he is leading onto. When he comes in on the bus and gets up to proclaim that bad things are going to happen, at that point I thought he might have been in the town before and somehow escaped. However, he has mentioned nothing about it since. I thought that intro bus scene was somehow telling and would bring new insight to the story line. Something that has yet to eventualize.
Watching that smiley dude with the annoying grin die from Boyd's blood was gratifying to watch.😁 Overall I preferred this episode a lot to episode 5. Please let's not even start.😐
I also started to see that all the main characters are challenged from Fromland with their own inner turmoil which sort of forces them to address their troubles and grow from it. Also, I wonder how will Fatima's baby turn out being born in a place like this. Whatever this place is. I feel like the baby would have some sort of supernatural component! Whats gonna happen with the creature that Boyd killed with his worm blood? Cant wait till next weeks episode which will confirm or at least answer a lot of fans questions
When Elgin volunteered to take the van....I feel he must have dreamed this too. Like the lake and town🤷🏾♀️ It was like he was afraid but had a sense that we will be ok....I think lol
They've been hinting at a great calamity coming and some drawings show a flood. We know Boyd has a boat and they've pointed out the lake before. The show is also full of biblical references so at some point I expect Boyd to act as Noah.
@@FromLand With all these biblical references there surely is a Judas among the crowd. Tilly is one option but she could be massive red herring. People suspected Tom but he died. I think there's a real shot that the Judas might not even know he's the inside man.
I agree! Towards the very beginning of season one Ethan said “victors drawings make a story, all of them go together to create a story/quest”…and there was a flood in there as well as the worms, etc. I think Ethan’s words are very important! And I agree a flood in coming, but they have already said there would be a season 3, I think. The boat key and stuff must come in to play at some point.
@@CrimsonKnight I think there is a “mole” Or a “man on the inside” as well. I was kind of thinking it’s thia chin (I am prob writing/saying that wrong), I mean Kenny’s mom. But it hurts my heart to think it’s her lol so I am thinking someone else, maybe Elgin/Sarah but that seems too obvious, tinny is a good choice, maybe Mariel or Randall. It’s hard to say. So many questions and little answers but the guessing is what I like haha
What if the music Martin is talking about is the music that plays periodically on the radios.... and when they stop playing music altogether, everything goes to shat 🤔
This is not important to the show per se but when the transfusion was going on, didn't it look like Boyd gave his son about a pint of air into his vein before the blood started going in? I mean I know he was short of air too but that's not how that works...
@@FromLand I also believe that the Ballerina is Boyd's shadow self. She showed him how to kill the monsters. 1. She showed him worms from her mouth2. Then guided he and Kenny to the clinic3. Lastly the ballerina attacked Boyd by first showing her wrist & hand then lunged at Boyd covering his mouth with her hand and wrist. The Ballerina, Boyd's Shadow Self,, gave him the possible solution to kill the monsters. By opening himself to his Shadow he found and did the deed. Dancing with his Shadow maybe next integrations? Thoughts?
@@lunacascade1125 I like that interpretation. I was more leaning towards Father Khatri being a manifestation of Boyd’s shadow or the Wise Man archetype. The ballerina as a symbol of death would fit better if the purgatory/afterlife theory turns out true though (which would be the Occam’s razor response). We’d have to see more to further refine our assessments :).
@@FromLand That's what''s fun about this show so many possibilities. I'm more in the scientific experiment camp rather than purgatory/afterlife theories. Time will tell🙂
Excellent analysis, as always!! Do you think the Smiley creature is dead, or do you think he might become human again (if he used to be human)? Also, I noticed that he had a seizure before he died. Do you think all of the seizures that we have seen in this town contain a deeper meaning?
Thanks!! We’ll have to see what the ultimate outcome will be with Smiley. I’ve suspected that the monsters are equally trapped in that place and are trying to do what they need to survive/escape. As for the seizures, I think those and the nosebleeds might have potentially negative repercussions in the long-term.
*possible spoiler*…I heard that smiley is not done. I guess he gave an interview and it didn’t sound as if he was done, but who really knows? I feel as if this place can create whatever it wants. The grandma person, the kid who spoke to Julie her first night, etc. I think they can be recreated or whatever they want. There are so many questions and little answers but that’s what I like about this show, nobody knows until we know. But it’s fun discussing and theorizing haha
I believe the vampire like monsters are also trapped there like martin said they're worse monsters than these vampire like monsters. And the ghost children trapped in cages are the good people like the boy in white since they also wear white clothes. The reason they're still live is because the monsters can't kill them because they are prisoners or pawns to attack the minds of the people during daytime since they cant go outside and make the people seeing them fight each other but because of the hole created by Tabitha they can now go out freely and actually helping those who had seen them like sara and victor had seen the boy in white who may have escaped the monsters which explains clean clothes and good looking body
Bro they killed my favorite enemy on show and Im mad haha I just love his creepy smile everytime his on screen it put me on edge. His that creepy haha.
your interpretation of the ballerina sounds too convoluted, maybe she was showing Boyd how to use the worms, how to kill the monsters with them... worms was a gift that Martin gave to Boyd
While that is also possible, I think it’s highly likely that the ballerina dance it’s just a version of danse macabre, which is super popular. The connection between those two points is that the worms represent death/destruction in both of those cases, and Boyd used that to his advantage here.
@@FromLand eventually what Boyd had to do to kill Smiley resembles a lot to a dance step of two ("Pas de Deux")... that's what this ep was about, the Ballerina teaching Boyd how to use the worms to kill monsters
I knew this episode was going to change things because the last 2 episodes just been a build maybe the last 3 episodes for that matter. I think it will be breakneck speed from here on out! This episode was so dope. And like I have been saying nobody had got pregnant the whole time it didn't make sense. The leaves changing means seasons are changing possibly maybe it means more then we think. Look forward to next week's episode. R.I.P. Smiley but they can be killed!!! Haha

He is so annoying though 😭
He is special for sure and incredibly brave. Maybe he will start to spread some courage amongst the people
Maybe but for me I believe Sara,Julie and Ethan will be the only ones escaping the town and the rest may die or still be stuck.
Probably, he had a seizure. Seems like ones that have a seizure are somehow connected to something.
@@terintiaflavius3349 He's going to be the Hurley of the show, I tell you that much...

Yes! The dance of 2 also encapsulates the duality of light/darkness, order/chaos.
White is often a source of guidance in this show. The child who guides Victor and Ethan is also wearing white.

I agree with your suspicion that the people will not go back to their old lives. They’re growing too much to ever go back.
