That same dimension aspect makes me wonder, if someone sees the Shy Guy in one dimension that also has the Shy Guy in it, then travels to another dimension, say the Serpents Hand library, would the Shy Guy go there or would the anomaly simply decide that it didn’t matter due to the dimensional difference? Or even scarier would there be a rampage where the Shy Guy destroyed our entire dimension trying to get to the onlooker

I wonder what would happen if a sentient AI saw a photo of it. would the shy guy destroy all the components that make up the AI or get confused because it isn’t human
it wouldn't do anything because it's not human. It doesn't kill animals, just humans Hence, it's safe to assume AI would be spared too. There are typically a lot of properties humans have that make them different in SCP universes aside from just sentience (E.g. the pestilence)

Idea: during a time of war, images of O96 are projected from drones onto any surface near an enemy position. Images of 096 could also be printed in Red monochrome onto banners, and shrinkwrapped onto military vehicles and aircraft, as long as your soldiers are trained to wear red tinted goggles at all times. You could effectively wipe out any force attacking you using an indestructible WMD.
That would be extremely risky though, because one of the enemies could get footage of it and it’s only a matter of time before SCP-096’s face is all over the internet.

@@masol3726 SCP utilizes the Multi-verse Theory of the universe to its fullest. As a result, there are no contradictions, just different universes with slightly different variables.
What would happen if someone saw SCP-096 and found it genuinely beautiful? So a better question is do they enter a rage state because someone saw their face or because they know on some level the person or entity that saw it would find it hideous? If it’s the latter having someone that finds it beautiful could be used to neutralize it’s anomalous effects.

Portions of the Ikea dimension are indestructible so it would not be capable of just knocking it's way around. It would take a considerable amount of time to find you but it would definitely find you.
A thought occurs. Is SCP-096's rage state triggered by visual contact made with its face, or perception of its face in general? Would it be possible to observe its face via echo-location? Furthermore, assuming we could obtain its specific physical dimensions, would it be possible to 3D-print a plastic portrait of it that would not set it off once observed? For that matter, would the staff at the Infinite IKEA be able to set it off through perceiving it, or would they just do that without needing to see its face because they would attack it on sight?
On another note, have any telepaths or psychic SCPs attempted to communicate with it or start digging around in its fractured mind?
In a story whose status as cannon is debatable (keeping in mind the very absurdity surrounding the concept of cannon in the SCP mythos), an MTF was given access to a specially provided set of goggles with computer imaging lenses. These goggles were specifically programmed to selectively censor 096's face, but it turns out that the lenses didn't work, and it's likely for one of two reasons:
1) The computer isn't instantaneous. While whoever was looking at 096 with the goggles wouldn't have been able to consciously perceive it, there was a ludicrously small amount of time between the image of 096's face hitting the lens camera/the SCP agents' eyes and the computer recognizing it in order to censor it. This time was not enough for the task force to actually recognize 096's face, but that didn't matter, because they had still technically "seen" it.
2) The goggles' very access to 096's face compromised them. The computers in the goggles had to be trained to recognize 096's face, and this could very well have fallen within the criteria of the aggression trigger.
The real question here is why did IKEA have McDonalds French Fries?

what if a microscopic bacteria or a tiny fly saw its face?
I suppose it doesnt react to animals seeing its face, since its been in the snowy mountains, surely there were animals and microscopic bacteria there, it could just react to humans. Another example: Since it attacks its prey and rips them to shreds, the smell could attract flies, but it was never really documented that SCP-096 really attacked anything unhuman-like. Hope that answers your question.
First off, single-celled organisms don't have eyes, and those that can react to differences in light and dark are too small to really move any further than on scales we (and by extension SCP-096) need a microscope to see. Said microorganisms are also too small to smash like bugs. (Though that does give me an idea for some experiments with D-classes and a shrink/growth ray...)
More importantly, bacteria are only able to respond in very simple ways to a handful of stimuli. None of them have nervous systems either, which suggests they lack the requisite consciousness necessary to perceive what little they can "see." And even if they could see us, the difference in scale is about on par with a single human on the surface of the moon; we would be distant celestial objects or the terrain the eke a living on. And those handful of pixels in that photo would be too massive for said bacteria to even see over the horizon.

@@3EKDUGZ, His triggering works really weird. The Scrambles didn't work even though they censored his face because they were still looking at him directly. But for some reason he got triggered only when somebody NOTICED 4 pixels on the photo.
Imagine, you take a picture, look at it and say "Yeah, it looks good" and continue your day. Nothing happens. But then somebody starts looking at that picture and "notices" 4 pixels and BAM, triggering happens. How does that work?! You already looked directly at photo, and even though you didn't notice those 4 pixels, you still looked at them. This is really confusing.
It all could be escaped by just saying "They used a camera with timer and did a lot of photos. 1 of those photos was unlucky to capture 096's face, but they didn't see that bit in the pile of photos". Bam, problem solved.

Fun fact how Scp 096 was made is there was a camp near a mountain which was the mountain that the king of the mountains had owned/dominated and he went up there trying to break a record but then he came across the king of the mountain and the king of the mountain tortured/made him climb more and more and more because he said he wanted to climb but he made him climb like for the hole day so he gave up and he was getting very very skinny and he went crazy. The reason why he kills people when someone looks at him in the face because when scp 096 looks at them he sees the king of the mountains with his bright orange light and he wants to kill him

I liked when 096 went into the machine with a statue of "David" and shyguy got converted into a handsome man that could talk and was nice.
A blind person can look a direction, but cannot perceive anything. I always thought of this SCP as being like an electron, it doesn't change states until it is perceived, and it's entagled electron regardless of distance will change state simultaneously. So, I always chalked it up to quantum mechanics.

as for the seeing 096 on the moon or in a pocket dimention, tests have shown that 096 will actually give up if it isn;t possible to kill you, while its unknown if it would take up the hunt again, it seems likely that after it gives up it stops caring until you see it again.
