I think of it like Jesus getting rid of the things in our lives that hinder our walk with him or hold us down. Like when God has us let go of certain things so we can obtain greater things
Just ran into a video explaining this that was over 8 minutes long and the top comment was that they went off on too many tangents and didn’t clearly answer the question.. thank you for giving me something concise and easy to understand with an explaination for it, it makes a lot more sense to me now lol

The first temple was destroyed by Babylon. When the nation of Judah was taken into captivity. The second temple, built by Ezra, was still standing durning the time of Christ Jesus. It was destroyed by the Romans, under Vespasian, around 70 A.D.
Romans 11 says God has not rejected His people (Israel and Judah). There is an olive tree metaphor in Romans 11 and some branches have been broken off/rejected. God has rejected those whose hearts were hardened against Him. The gentiles (those who were previously unbelievers) have been "grafted in" to the tree in place of those who were broken off. Additionally, it is mentioned that if those who were broken off/refected will repent, they can be grafted back on to the tree again!
That’s a damn lie dude lol Jesus got Hangry and decided to start flipping over tables and benches and shit and kill the tree because it wasn’t in season. Rather than I don’t know, use his Jesus power The tree grow figs so he can eat. He just goes ahead and kills it. This is a stupid story for a dude who never did anything wrong. This is pretty petty and shitty.
@@mick20075He got mad at a fruit tree For not having fruit when it wasn't in doesn't sound Like a temper tantrum, that sounds like a dipshit If you saw any other person on the planet other than Jesus yelling at a tree to provide fruit when it's not in season, you would look at them and think they're completely insane. But because it's the guy you believe is God, all of a sudden? It makes perfect sense Do you see the hypocrisy in what I'm saying?
@@mick20075Like hear me out if Jesus is God. And he got mad at a fruit tree for not having fruit at a time of year when it does not have fruit. Thanks for the exemplifications of scripture! It's so enlightening!
You've left out an important detail. It wasn't the season to fruit

🌳: “But the time of figs is not yet!”
The fig tree was a symbol of Israel itself even in the time of Jesus.

Makes a lot of sense now why things are the way they are in Israel rn! I pray for them that Israel repents and comes back to the Lord!

So basically the Temple wasn't doing its purpose?
Isn't it more than that? Didn't he objectively curse the nation of Israel?
The temple was destroyed before jesus rigth?
The first temple was destroyed by Babylon. When the nation of Judah was taken into captivity.
The second temple, built by Ezra, was still standing durning the time of Christ Jesus. It was destroyed by the Romans, under Vespasian, around 70 A.D.
No, the fig tree was Isreal no longer bearing fruit for God. The fig was a symbol of Isreal. Cursed, it was God announcing his divorce from Isreal.
Gonna need more explanation to believe this oppinion. Well stated, but i can see the perspective of the video poster better.

Let me ask you this. Can someone who is truly human know everything? Just a simple yes or no.
The fig tree is a demon
I thought he had a temper tantrum.
😂 this is the most likely answer.
