Randy is Without Question the Greatest Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal Drummer to Ever Sit Behind a Drumkit. He Played With This Incredible Power and Precision, and at the Same Time had The Best Feel and Swing to His Music. Ozzy Live & Loud Makes Me Smile from Start to Finish. It is An Absolute Perfect Performance.
    Rock in Peace Brother Randy!

What many may not know, is that Randy played many styles, not just heavy metal. I used to see him play in the 70's here in ABQ, in various bands; MUDD, and the Wumblies. He was very funky and loved R&B music. He was a natural, and he was actually a very nice guy. Even after he left here and started playing with stars in L.A., I ran into him a couple of times when he came home, and he was always humble and down to earth. A huge loss for sure.

2:12 Chris was my p.e teacher back in high school. Wonderful woman. I asked her one time when I came into her office and saw this cool picture of her and someone else. She told me it was her brother and his name and later I watched a video of him playing drums. I know from when she talked about him that his death still did affect her and I understand. Thanks Coach Chris for everything. R.I.P Randy.

I consider myself to be lucky to have seen Randy Castillo play a few times in concert and he always blew me away. Wow, what a powerful drummer he was. He always gave me goosebumps. In fact I use to be fixated on him while he played and didn't pay attention to anyone else. God rest your loving soul Randy ❤ you are missed by so many people. 😢

I am so glad that his mom was kind enough to share those special moments. What a nice lady and its an inspiration to know that a hispanic or latino can make it in rock. Although it would take Randy's level of talent, he showed that you can make it happen if you want it bad enough. RIP

Jose M. Tamez Latino he wasn't, he's father was. Hispanic, just on her mother's side since she's part Spanish (Spain). But the man was born and raised in USA so he was just a plain old American.

I wish people would stop calling Randy a Native American! He’s Mexican....!!!!!!
For God’s sake his last name is CASTILLO!!! He was working on his project with a mariachi band called Azul ( which means Blue in ....uh, Spanish!)
I’ve known people that have met him and he’d say he was Mexican American born from Mexican parents!
