I just love the quality of all Tim Holtz - I agree - when I bought other companies I was disappointed .. totally agree with u = but I wish hobby lobby - Joann’s = Michaels would go back to updating their inventory & keep up with Tim Holtz products ..online is ok but prefer to see things in person…thanks..
A very valuable and informative video on how much value there is in each of the products. I never realized the mixed media (manilla) heavystock was so different from the white heavystock. I love the white, and the watercolour paper for most things like die cutting, stamping, and colouring etc. I don’t think I’ve ever had the other or even Kraft, I also have the black heavystock. The Ideaology Paperie products are all fantastic, I love the curator pkgs too. As far as stamps go, I wish I had far more than I do, it just takes time to collect them and I think most buy what they see everyone else use the most or the newest releases when there are so many amazing sets that are simply forgotten because people think they’re “old”. I believe all of Tim’s products are timeless, they all work together so beautifully and it’s a matter of seeing the whole picture of how they are all meant to work seamlessly together. Thank you for creating this video Nathifa ❤.

You do make it difficult to go to work in the morning. I keep stopping getting ready, to see what I have, don't have and need. Now I just want to go in my craft room and play. 😂❤ Excellent video! Thank you!!! ❤
New subscriber. I found your Instagram & TH-cam while on Tim's blog. My very lucky day! I've only watched three videos & I'm hooked. You hit home with this one. Like many crafters, I buy all the things....then they sit in their packages. Please keep this informative & entertaining content coming. Can't wait to see what's next 😃.
Very well put. I’m looking forward to your next one. I have an item from Idea-ology that I’ve always felt was underrated - Swivel clasps!!! For one, they’re probably the “cheapest” product in his entire line, but you can do so many different things with them! The other love I have is the “Game Spinners”! I do LOVE all things Idea-ology, but my proudest “collection” is that of his “pre” Idea-ology products with Judikins. Plus my small hoard 😉 of Grungeboard sheets, shapes, alphas and “paper”! I’d fight hard for those items! TFS! 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I was amazed at the difference in the heavystock paper. I have lots of the heavystock but have always shied away from the mixed media card stock. I need some. Also, the backdrops have left me wondering what to do with them. Now I know. Transparencies. I love them, I have them but I don’t use them. Idk why. The snippets and tiny ephemera I do use. Love them. The stamps I love them too and use them. I do a lot of small projects so those tiny numbers and stuff are perfect. I love small anything. Thank you for the inspiration and I look forward to your next videos.
Thanks for the info about the white heavystock vs mixed media heavy stock. Tiffany Solario recently mentioned the same thing. I just bought some white & am disappointed it doesn't stack up as well as the original. I use the mixed media tags often. I love those stamps too but Tim's stamps are now about A$50 here in Australia which is a little out of my budget at the moment. Great video thanks❤
Yes. These are my favorites too. I just need to start making with them instead of just “buying” them😆☺️😊 and hoarding them. Yikes. Loving looking at them too😉
OMG! I'm a Holtz Hoarder too! I love his stuff so much, and I don't want to use it because then I won't have it anymore.🙄🤷🏻♀️ What's WRONG with me??🤪😄😄😄😄
I also found out that when Hobby Lobby advertises 40% off Tim Holtz products, they only bring out a few to bring the customers into the store and they don’t replenish. I was very disturbed to hear that.
I’m a newbie in the world of mixed media. I have quite a collection of Tim Holtz stuff. I learned from your part II that I’m not using some of his stuff, that I actually own. 🥰🇨🇦
I just love your work my friend! Great video! 100% agree with you , distress mixed media is my favorite to work on with sprays for sure. I have the transparency but was never sure what to do with them.. until now. Thanks for the inspo as always! ❤
❤Ty so much I never realized this about the mixed media card stock but I will buy it today because that is how I like my inks to act also. I really appreciate that you posted this video I cannot believe all the Tim Holtz I used and I never realized this. This is a game changer for me thank you so much.
I'm new to your channel so a little late to the party, but WOW! Thank you for sharing! I have so many of these products that get "saved" because I'm afraid to mess them up. Can't wait to see your videos on great ways to use them after these snippets!
Fantastic information. I wish they would make large packs of that distress mixed media heavy stock. I wonder if the movement of the inks on tags is why TH uses them so much. I think instead of under rated I would say under utilized. Just watching your videos 3 months later. I adopted your storing of ephemera Thank you
I love this video. I made a beautiful birthday card for my aunt who just turned 103 years old! I used a back drop folded in 3’rds and added a transparency! It was beautiful! Again, thank you, thank you for this video! I refer to it again and again❤️
I didn’t realize the difference between the manila colored paper and the white. Thanks for that info! I think you’re spot on with the underrated products. That number 5 and 3 from the stamp set are two of my favs. I think it’d we cool if he had a whole stamp set of different sized numbers but with that esthetic. One thing people ignore, including me, is Tim’s colored kraft stock. I keep meaning to stamp on it w/archival and use water to spritz it, because he’s demonstrated how it leaves water spots. Maybe I’ll try that tonight, because I think it’d make an interesting background or tags.
So glad I watched this video! First, I really like your work; your portrait compilations are colorful and fabulous. I really look forward to your next video. I’m subscribing now! Thanks for the demos.
Wow, very informative video! I have some Tim Holtz supplies that are beautiful but i didn’t know how to use them in my art journals ... like the transparent images. That may be why supplies would seem under-rated. I never heard of Back-Drops and I have stacks of papers of all kinds - I'm getting those for sure!! I appreciate you showing examples how they are used. Love this video ... thank you, new sub! 🎉
i love this! and thank you for sharing the difference between the 2 papers! I too LOVE, LOVE the ephemera snippets and the stamps. I use my field note set ALL the time!
This is a wonderful video. You pointed out great features of products that don't get enough attention. I'm going to look into some of the stamp sets. The snippets are already something that I love and hoard! 🙂 Thanks for doing sharing. ❤
Just discovered your channel - yay! Loved your video on storage of ephemera! Question - how do you physically use the transparent "things" - how do you apply them? How do you use them creatively? You mentioned them, but not having seen them before, I'm at a loss as to what to do with them!
Thanks for showing the difference in the paper who knew. Do you have a video on portraits you showed. I love the transparencies but I didn’t know about the layering set. I am going in search
Well IYKYK and I didn’t know! I always wonder why my heavy stock just sucks up my ink. Love your videos! And agree about the backdrop 2 pack deal. Way too hard to pick a side! ❤
Thanks for the Tim Holtz product uses video. Love Tim products and enjoy learning how to use them on my creates. Love your portraits. (And, I've just subscribed.)
This is an awesome video. I was slow to the field notes and eccentric stamp sets. I have the postal one on my wish list ;) There are so many stamps and I recently used Finest in the World and Guaranteed to be strictly high grade on a thank you card. You are so right about the backdrops. I have two packs and have only used one. Because I want to make sure I use it for something good lol. I have the snippets and the colorful little squares too. I like how you layered those so I will get them out for my next project. I love seeing how you incorporate the products into your beautiful makes :)
I think backdrops & design tapes are a similar issue for me: I have one pack & it may be a discontinued item so once it’s gone it’s gone…. Need to get over that! 😂
I am grateful for this video I must say I use most all of these because you showed me at the retreat so I love all the underrated things. The paper I have been sleeping on so I will try it because I want me inks to have time to play around 😂😂
Just subscribed, found your channel today. I love TH with all his grunge, but this videos are not even shown by him. I can’t wait to see how you use all this products . T4s
Just wondering if you have compared the Tim's Mixed Media paper to artists grade Mixed Media paper? I haven't tried Tim's Mixed Media paper, because I like Strathmore Mixed Media.
Great points! If You could take a minute and list The product makes /numbers of the items especially the stamping sets that would be amazing. Thank you for sharing !
Is there a place to see you working on the portraits?? I quickly searched but could not find! I am happy to say there was only one thing I could use more which is backdrops, so pretty it’s hard not to hoard them!

Yes, yes and yes! Great comment. I agree with you. When I go to my local Michaels, they have the same product drying out, with no effort to replenish.
Joannes sucks. no wonder they filed chapter 11 and Michaels has no inspiration. Very disappointing the jack of all trades

Me too! I’m working on growing my TH stamp collection
Wow, Nathifa the cardstock comparisons are very interesting. Thank you for doing this series. I am so looking forward to the next one. xx

Hi hi!
Just discovered your channel and I'm loving it. I appreciate the inspiration.

Love the heavyweight paper tutorial. Thank you!!! Who knew ❤❤❤
I am an Idea-ology hoarder. I love everything.
Transparent images are great for layering in your journals
Well, that was interesting and informative. I like that you show why we should be using these products. We are at a loss until someone shows us.
Thank you for your share onTim Holtz products
You bet!
i love this! and thank you for sharing the difference between the 2 papers!
I too LOVE, LOVE the ephemera snippets and the stamps. I use my field note set ALL the time!
That was eye opening. Thanks.

The snippets are a must have!!
Wow, your demo on the paper really opened my eyes! Agree with your choices! Thank you and I’m looking forward to the next video!

Love your art and your videos are so great!!!
Aww thank you so much!
As always your opinions are underrated l. Which stamp set names are you recommending? So. Gratefully, Mary
❤
Love the shiny look of the acetate. But I’m intimidated to use them. Glue marring it. How to adhere without it showing, etc.
There is more sizing in the Manila paper - I didn’t know that! Going to get some now! Thanks!
You’re welcome 😊
Can’t eat to watch ur TH Backdrops video! And Underrated Part 2
You are my Magic Keeper❤️
You’re so sweet!
You are so correct about this paper, I love it, tfs
It’s awesome!❤️❤️❤️
I think backdrops & design tapes are a similar issue for me: I have one pack & it may be a discontinued item so once it’s gone it’s gone…. Need to get over that! 😂
I will have to get the backdrops! Thanks for sharing.
❤️❤️❤️
These are all wonderful. What do you use to put them together? Glue?
I am grateful for this video I must say I use most all of these because you showed me at the retreat so I love all the underrated things. The paper I have been sleeping on so I will try it because I want me inks to have time to play around 😂😂
Playtime for the inks is a necessity!
good choices- agree, and some things are worth it. tfs
I think so too!

This video was so good. Tim needs to hire you as a spokesperson. You did a better job thAn I’ve seen even on his demo days. Thank you so much. 😊👏🏻👏🏻❤️
😊
Great points! If

Good point! I always forget to do that! I’ll update the description shortly. Thanks!
I love your videos
Not sure if anyone has mentioned but ranger sells the larger packs of the cardstock
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Not in the mixed media
Is there a place to see you working on the portraits?? I quickly searched but could not find!
I am happy to say there was only one thing I could use more which is backdrops, so pretty it’s hard not to hoard them!
Hi hi! Mostly on IG until I do real time version..
The audio is too low. I had to turn on CC. The ads are fine.
Great video I wish you would have linked the products but Great nonetheless
