I love this technique! It adds so much to these paper dolls.
Thank you so much for your videos. You explain your tutorials so well.
Your tutorial is so helpful, I have never seen the technique before with the paper dolls. The markers you are using achieve a nice
Watercolor effect. You do have good skills, and your voice is easy listening. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your talents and positivity!!! 💖
You are so welcome!✨✨✨
Wow! These are so beautiful!!! I loved how you added the color 😊
I have so many Paper dolls ❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for a fascinating tutorial. You are a very talented and generous lady! X
Amazing! I tried the process with Karin Markers and it works! The pointed tip helps a ton. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for this video! I wouldn’t have thought the color would show up on the dark clothes, but it does. They look like the old fashion tinted photographs from long ago.
You are so welcome!
Thanks so much. You NEVER disappoint. Gonna try this❤
Thank you for this!! I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who struggles with coloring paper dolls. They just never come out right. No matter what I try :( so I will go back and try out these techniques! Thanks again!
Hope they work for you!
Really cool! I have never seen those pencils before. And, I liked the music.

You are so welcome!
This color technique reminds me of our baby pictures growing up. The photographer would color in our cheeks and her dresses due to the photos being black and white. 😊
I APPRECIATE ur work! Thanx sooooo much. This video (everything from the music to the coloring) was just perfect! Thanx again ✌🏽
Thank you so much! You’re welcome!✨
Enjoyed watching you create. Thank you for sharing!

AHHHH clear gesso is the magic that helps the colors take hold
It’s amazing! In this instance.

Great tutorial!! I love how each of them turned out. Can't wait to try this out!
I love the music. Love your ideas.
I use clear gesso too. I use 3 coats of Finnabair’s clear gesso. It works great and makes it so much easier to take color. I’ve been doing it for about 2 yrs. 🥰
❤️❤️❤️
This was very fun to watch. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
I needed this a few weeks ago! I tried pastel acryclics, turned out ok. Will definitely be trying ur method! Thanks so much for sharing!
You’re welcome 😊

OMG. You’re on TH-cam now! I love it. I have followed you on IG for years. It’s such a delight to see you here. My heart is happy. 📄✂️🙌🌈💕
Aww. What a kind thing to say! Thank you!
I was so happy to see a video from you on my feed today! I subscribed immediately! I really enjoyed your video. The portraits that you did on instagram are some of my favorite projects! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Thank you so much! That is so kind to say! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing!! I have such trouble coloring paper dolls. I find I’m getting better with more practice. I’ll have to try these pencils!!
Hope you enjoy them!
I've never thought of coloring paper dolls but what a cool idea! I might try with some alcohol markers. Thanks for sharing!
Oh that’s a good idea! Let us know how it turns out.
I don’t think you’ll be able to wipe off excess color using alcohol markers, in the way the author does with her erasable water-soluble markers. The alcohol dries very quickly and is permanent. Maybe experiment on some that aren’t your favorites.
@ochervelvet9687 that's a really good point. I appreciate you mentioning that!
Natifa, thank you so much for this!! I have trouble wirh the frosted crystals and the crayons I cant get to work at all on these🙄🙄. Gonna have to get those Woody Pencils for sure! Love your work and everything you share with us❤
You are so welcome! Glad it helped!
Wow learned something totally new for me!! Thanks so much 😊. I am new to junk journaling and never dreamed of coloring the paper dolls oh yes I kept wondering where the paper dolls were lol. Didn’t dawn on me that they were the little black and white peoples we use.. thank you again😀
😂😂😂 yeppers! Glad you learned something new!
Very nice
Thanks!
I actually liked the music. It was reiaxing.
Thank you! Looks like it’s a toss up! 😊
Excellent updated video. I remember the original. Love these! I may have missed it. Do you seal these with anything to prevent smudging? ❤
Nope! I tend to not seal anything. 😬
Totally awesome demo. With color the dolls are a lot more versatile. I'm thinking that with the clear gesso one could modify the color of all kinds of ephemera, even vintage items and magazine images. Sweet! Can't wait for part 2.
Thank you! Will try to post soon!
They look really cute. Thank you for sharing your techniques.
But won’t they rub off? Do you use anything to coat after you’re done?
Great useful video. Just some feedback though…I hated the music overlay. It was distracting.
I’d have to agree. Really liked the content, but I hate music while people are talking. Very hard to hear and concentrate.
I'm old and find my hearing isn't as good as it could be. Too much background. Love the content. ❤
Loved the technique, have the Woody pencils, never used them on a photo. Great job
Thank you!
How odd. I found the music soothing and quietly in the background during the narration.
On the first sample with crayons markers. Did you prep dolls with
Gesso or not ? Thx
Hi there! I did not.
I'm a little confused. When you used the markers in the beginning did you prep the boys with gesso?
Nope! Only gesso for distress watercolor pencils.
#Replay i’m watching you for the first time, and I absolutely love your videos. I’m an elderly lady with hearing problems, so I always let creators know, that the background music makes it very difficult to hear your voice. I know many people enjoy it, but could you possiblyturn it down a bit so I can hear you better? I’m so happy that I discovered your videos though.
Very good video don't need the music as it is very distracting sorry
Thanks for your feedback!
No music
Just a quick observation, the music really competed with your voice. I had to try hard to listen to you and not be distracted by the music. Please know your voice is pleasant enough that the music is unnecessary.
Thank you for letting me know!
You did such a wonderful job, love your work. Thanks for a lovely video.
Thank you so much!
