I have lots of gaps in my Sabbath vinyl collection but Masters of Reality is one of the ones I've been able to find. I just saw that Magnum record in the wild the other day but didn't pick it up. Also listened again to Destroyer weekend before last and was a bit underwhelmed overall. The Alice Cooper albums Ezrin did around that time had a lot more balls. The tracks I really like still are Detroit/King//God/Shout It/Do You Love Me so I suppose that's half the album. Cheers, James
How did you like "The Road Starts Here" overall Pasi? Nice to see you again. Thanks for sharing the all metal update. You got a few {what sounds like} essential listens. The very best to you in 25~ Rob/Boston
I find The Road Starts Hear more fascinating than actually a good listen. Not a great sound wise and their playing has some way to go especially as a unit. It seems to me like they are still trying to find each other while playing. It's always a possibility that they simply couldn't hear each other properly while playing that gig. Still it's great to hear a band that became so huge while they were still just another bar band. All the best you for 2025 Rob. Pasi
I understand what you mean, the Japanese style artwork is cool, but when Maiden changed Eddie on the sleeve of The Final Frontier i thought he lost his unique character and now looks more like some comic monster. Pasi
Wow, that Maiden album sold that fast. They have a rabid fan base. Big surprise, I don’t have a lot of metal and many of these wear new to me. Happy New Year Pasi
Good pick ups. I still don’t have that Ozzy on vinyl but I honestly don’t find myself listening to his solo stuff much these days. Love that Gary Moore album.
I do still listen to Ozzy's 80's albums, but hardly anything after though i don't really have that many of his albums since. To me G Force is low among Moore albums, but does have it's moments. Pasi
Hi Pasi g Force is an average album at best. They should have released Dirty Fingers instead. Like No Other by Dead Daisies is a brilliant tune which showcases Glenn Hughes vocals perfectly. 70s Aerosmith is great. 80/90s not so much. Cheers, Chris
Dirty Fingers is definitely a better album. I think because of the way it was released it has remained somewhat forgotten masterpiece in Moore's catalogue. Permanent Vacation is my co-fave Aerosmith album, with the rest i can agree with you though i do like Pump and haven't heard anything after that. Pasi
Can't go wrong with Master Of Reality. The reissue with a poster is nice. When I saw how long Senjutsu album is gonna be, I was immediately like F**K! I don't like "over-long" albums. I haven't even heard a single song from it yet. Those Jack Wylde's pitch harmonics are bloody annoying! Therefore No Rest For The Wicked is my only Zack era Ozzy studio album. 5150 has its moments. I've never really cared for their whole albums. I missed Destroyer's 2LP version. From the classic era KISS albums (the 1st 6 studio albums) for me Destroyer is "the weakest" i.e. it's just too "fine"! Only 363 days left before the New Year, Jarkko/MyVinylBar
Yeah i understand the good old fashioned 40-45 min. album is more or less perfect length. At least this is shorter than Book Of Souls. I don't think Senjutsu is bad, they've done worse, but it's not in the league with the early albums. I wonder who thought those pitch harmonics (or squeals as i call them) was a good idea. They really get on my nerves after a while. I've heard 2/4 Van Hagar albums. I think F**K album is actually a good album, but really all Van halen albums are better. This 2-LP version of Destroyer does give sort of insight to the making of this album, but i do understand your point, those other albums are just gritty hard rock'n'roll. I'm already looking over my shoulder for the next new year looming. Pasi

Cool you bought the new MAIDEN album on vinyl. Nice. The art work is super.
