Thanks for the ranking Pasi. You have a great collection. I had Gimme Some Neck a long time ago when it came out, but that's all the solo Wood material I've heard. I'd like to hear the one with Ronnie Lane sometime, although I wish it was not a soundtrack. Thanks for showing the records!

Mahoney's Last Stand has a good feeling to it, but it's the most difficult to find. Good, but not essential. Thanks Randall.

You are definitely a fan of Ronnie's music Pasi. I have Gimme Some Neck and I've Got My Own Album To Do. I agree with your assessment. It is a brilliant record. Excellent background vocals, bluesy and fantastic guitar playing by Mick Taylor, Keith, George Harrison and Ronnie. I think Mick and Bowie are on the album too if I remember right. Very underrated album. I enjoyed this one Pasi. Well done~

Thanks Rob. Yes i like Ronnie's solo work, it's enjoyable and at it's best excellent work. Not everything needs to be worked to perfection.
Mick is singing on I've Got My Own Album To Do as is Rod Stewart, but not Bowie.

Awesome Ron Wood collection Pasi!! A lot I never heard before!! Slide on This never clicked for me either. But Gimme Some Neck is one of my favorites! I think the problem with it might be the song sequencing. It never catches a momentum. I play side two first because there are too many mid tempo tracks on side one. Once I became familiar with the songs it was no longer a problem. But that’s just me!
Cool video brother! Hope you’re doing well! Cheers, Jon

I hadn't thought about that with Gimme Some Neck, i'll try your system of playing side two first. It'll be a welcome thing if i really get it since i mostly do like the songs.
      Thanks Jon.

@@6758pasi hey Pasi, I listened to 1234 last night because of your video. Hadn’t listened to that in years and don’t know it at all. I dug it but will need another listen. The groove and feel was nice and loose but the songs weren’t as memorable on first listen. Tonight I got I’ve Got My Own Album lined up for after work. Cheers brother!!

Nice idea for a video. I don't know Ronnie's albums at all really - I heard a few tracks from one of them (think it was his debut) at a VC friend's house a few years back and was quite impressed. I don't recall ever seeing one of his records. I do really rate him as a guitarist but he's an unknown quantity for me as a songwriter. I will have to listen to 'Mr Luck', sounds very intriguing. Cheers, James

For a band of such high status as Rolling Stones i think all of their solo material is very much unknown to the wider public. Though isn't the same with most major bands like Queen? I believe Ronnie's records are a bit of a acquired taste, good, but not very commercial and not necessarily immediately accessible.
It took me a while to reply as i was traveling for a week.

I have to admit that I have no interest in Ronnie's solo stuff but it was interesting to see a video about his stuff. I can't even name any of his solo songs nor albums. 🤔
At least I remember that Ronnie appeared on Rod Stewart's MTV Unplugged and then there was some pre-Stones stuff with Faces I think and that's about it.
Are those solo albums hard to find? They're probably something that you don't see in every record shop. I'm pretty sure that his albums were not million sellers. I still think that he's a pretty cool guy and he sure knows how to play the guitar.

Yeah Rod's album was titled Unplugged....and seated. Which is why Ronnie named his live album Plugged in and Standing.
I would say his duo album with Ronnie Lane is difficult to find, but the rest are not really that difficult. They're not something which comes up often, but i tend to see them every now and then.
None of his solo albums sold much, barely scraping the bottom of the charts, only the first "I've Got My Own Album To Do" made a little head way.
Ronnie is versatile player, playing at least guitar, bass, slide, pedal steel, saxophone, piano.
