My office window overlooked the flight line and that was a daily sight watching all the aircraft in the pattern. Good memories

Spent 4 yrs at Ellsworth - PCS'd out just as the base transitioned from the B-52 to the B-1 - was there for the first planes arrivals.

And what's crazy is that the B-52 may possibly outlive the B-1. Both are amazing aircraft though.

@@jaggerscreeton9918 Literally, like a week ago, me, my mom, my dad, and my brother were staying at the fam camp and my dad heard jet engines, and earlier that day we explored the base and found the perfect spot next to the taxiway and the runway, so we went there, and we saw 3 tails above the horizon and I saw a canopy, 3 f 16s took off in full burner, then a b1, that one aborted because number 3 engine afterburner wasn’t going on, then he taxied again, and behind him was the 2nd b1, the first b1 took off behind the 2nd b1, then 2 f 15s took off, then the 1st b1, then 6 more took off, never gonna see that again, but it was amazing, the 37th still had the tiger Lincoln
