I still have, and wear my B-1B Lancer 13th Bomb Squadron T-shirt! :D Got it at an air show some years ago and it reminds me a lot of my Father who passed away, and with whom we spent at many air shows together :)

My father flew the B1 at Dyess during that exact time period after transitioning out of the b52. I wonder if you perhaps knew him. Hearing these brings back fond memories of my childhood. and I still vividly remember watching them take off from base housing when I was a kid sitting in a lawn chair in the backyard.

I was at a Nextel Cup race (remember Nextel?) back in nineties, I can’t remember exactly what year but they had a flyover of two B-1’s. They got to about 1/3 over the track and hit the afterburners and went almost straight up into the sky. The roar was deafening. It was the most amazing thing involving jets that I’ve ever seen. I’ve loved these jets since then. I was aware of them but had never seen one in action until then.

Reminded me of the time I believe was 1987 when Dyess had its full blown ORI with the B-1B's and KC-135's doing
MITO's. B-1's I believe was 30-45 seconds intervals and the KC-135's showed off by doing 15 seconds intervals
    what a sight

The B-1 was originally a supersonic Strategic bomber designed to deliver nukes to the USSR. In the 90s it was converted to a conventional bomber that is capable of going supersonic with a massive amount of ordinance.
