Exercise Red Flag is a two-week advanced aerial combat training exercise held several times a year by the United States Air Force. The purpose is to offer realistic air-combat training for military pilots and other flight crew members from the U.S., NATO and other allied countries.
Each year, four to six Red Flag exercises are held at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, while up to four more, dubbed Red Flag - Alaska, are held at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.
First held in 1975, the Red Flag exercises bring together air crews from the United States Air Force (USAF), United States Navy (USN), United States Marine Corps (USMC), United States Army (USA) and numerous NATO and other allied nations' air forces.
Red Flag exercises are conducted under the aegis of the United States Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) at Nellis. They are run by the 414th Combat Training Squadron (414 CTS) of the 57th Wing (57 WG). They use "enemy" hardware and live ammunition for bombing exercises within the adjacent Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR).
This video captures the action from the first of this years Red Flag exercises, and includes interviews with those that participated. The video takes you to the flightline and to the runway for some stunning shots of the aircraft operating from Nellis Air Force Base.

This is why I love living near Nellis AFB
Yep, never a dull moment... 😁
Amazing footage. Such a stellar collection of aircraft. You pretty much only see that on a consistent basis at Nellis.
It’s the Israel Air Force who has the experience of using 5th Gen Aircraft bought from another country to wack ground target (uranium enrichment plant / nuclear power plant) in an airspace of another country all during peace time. And they can do it on a regular basis always with success.
If my memory serves me correctly it was the Greek Air Force that scored and locked on to a F 22 Raptor with a F-16 and was the only Air Force to ever have such success!!
Uhh maybe check ur facts on that one
Yes, you are right, it was in the first stage of f22, and it will never happen again.
Супер 👑 терминатор неба😎😍🤩😃😄
Superb!
Thank you @Sim Deck
Send more over to U.K. for practice in CRAP BRIT WEATHER, especially the FOG; UK has the best dreadful weather of all types and locations of all types. 👍👍👍🇺🇸
What are you talking about, weather means shit to radar, you stupid BRIT.
How many years has the Greek Air Force won the Red Flag? Funny its not mentioned!! We kick arse and won it multiple times!!
What roles does the Navy has at Red Flag? I see the Super Hornets flying, perhaps they play the role of the growler?
You quite often see USN Hawkeye participate in RF. Electronic warfare training.
Outstanding mate 👍👍
Thanks 👍

16:40 remove before flight??
Couldn't see any RBF tags...
@@militaryaviationtv I think I see one on the underside by the left main gear. Easier to see as it's rolling past the camera at 16:48
Yup.@@ectobluntus
Something is definitely waving in the wind near the top of the landing gear at 16:40 to about 16:48. @@militaryaviationtv
@@chadwickalexanderjr1758 those pins get pulled at EOR (End of Runway) checks, totally normal
