Cheers! "State Capitalism" is definitely a clunky phrase in this regard, but without delving too far into current economics and Chinese politics, it is difficult to topic to sum up and we wanted to focus on Xi himself. Much appreciated!
What's so complex about a country that deals with every single one of its problems through brute force. For example they dealt with the Uyghurs and Tibetans with repression. And I don't even have to mention how they dealt with Hong Kong. Often the peaceful solutions are harder and more complex. You don't know what you're talking about.
@@NyangisKhan why conflate complex country with the measures implemented by an administration? There is nothing to be gained from inserting a problem in a conversation about another topic. On the other hand, learning about how a leader rises to power teaches a lot about a nation's struggles, past, present, aspirations. That is indeed complex. One of the variables you mentioned in the treatment of territories and minorities, but there is no solution or discussion to be had when you merely make a value judgement on the matter.
@@menin84 Every nation has equally struggled, had a past and a present. And the only aspiration a nation has is stability. Especially financial ones. Which means they didn't really have that much time to struggle or to have a past. Meaning they're less complex to older nations like France, the USA or Italy.
To cement his hold on power he has been hobbling the major centers for economic growth and technological advancement, this will jeopardize the very factors that contributed to China’s ascent. This policy and the unavoidable demographic crunch will severely reduce China’s influence in coming decades.
It's crazy to think that Xi Jinping isn't even the most powerful individual in the world. After all, he always will be a possession of Christopher Robin.

I think those are details we will struggle to get and much of it would be pure speculation. We have plenty of facts, but little true insight, so it's maybe something best left to a Geopolitics channel.
@@dustintacohands1107 I get that, but we try and keep the videos between 12-15min (with the odd exception) and there isn't always time to cover everything in as much detail as we'd like

People really understood the history of China they would understand why they become communist. Nationalistic and uses isolationism. You study the Imperial Affairs of Europe then you'll understand why. Don't judge unless you know
Very true, I admit it is an area we have not studied in depth yet. The cycle of isolationist, to expanding often comes on the heels of great upheaval, but to truly understand it would take a lifetime of study and each event is different.
