Junaid Akram is not an actor. He is the guy whose genre is “Moral Policing” and criticizing the public on what’s good and what’s bad. Jab koi Banda screen pr a ke Bara bhai ban rha hai to it should be against his basic morality and conscience to promote paid churan let alone political agenda!

Ho sakta hai usne sach mei kuch morally upright baatein kari ho lekin paid promotions are the source of his income. Going after someone for doing exactly that is not really meaningful.

Pakistan has very few people you can look up to. PTI did in fact employed same or worse tactics of self promotion and other blunders and they should be condemned. I'm myself following JA for many years but I do want to point one difference here. There is difference between selling products like eletronics, cars or cosmetics and selling a state propaganda. No equivalence can be established between these. The least he could do was to explicitly state that its a paid content. Moreover it sucks to see that salaried class tax is going to celebrity to feed propaganda back to the working class of this nation. JA in my opinion is on the wrong side here.

In the new World Model every thing is becoming a Product and unfortunately people do not realizing it and take the responsibility. they are so lazy that they buy every thing marketed by media influencer without taking the responsibility of investigating about that product. Politics view is also needed promotion and marketing in order to reach your voters. Being a Voter it is totally my responsibility to check fact and figure before voting just on paid promotion.
Since PTI went out of Power PMLN is doing what ever PTI was doing for the last 10 or 20 Years specially now they understand the Power of Social media and Influencer. thought they are not that much successful as PTI but they are on the same way as PTI are. every day in social media i see 10 or more then 10 advertisement for PTI(Khan) or PMLN.

A little correction: It wasn’t PMLN’s paid campaign but Government and a government can’t spend tax payers money on paid campaigns.
Junaid Akram is not a celebrity in the traditional sense. He is someone who talked about the issues of the country through comedy. His message was direct to the people without filter through new media. People grew to trust him to call a spade a spade. He has lost that trust amongst many of his watchers.
Secondly one expects better from celebrities. In this polarizing time where the current government came out with a harsh budget for the masses they should at least remain neutral. I don’t think the average Pakistani takes political advice from celebrities, they are just calling them out for being elitist.

Sorry, Rohan, but I often tell my Indian friends that most Pakistani TH-camrs create content aimed at Indians. They know that Indians have a much larger presence on social media, and many of them enjoy listening to TH-camrs like Junaid Akram, who criticize Pakistani society while praising Indian society-even for issues that Indians themselves complain about and sometimes leave India over.
TH-camrs like Junaid Akram owe their popularity to their Indian viewers and fans. The same is true for Syed Muzzamil. These TH-camrs were never intellectuals and have been doing this for a long time. Don't be surprised if you see more and more TH-cam content creators from Pakistan following this trend which is set by Junaid Akram. :)

The main point to ponder is about the hypocrisy of masses. It’s not about who did campaign and for whom they did but the main point is We people accept anything coming from that person who in our opinion is right irrespective of thinking how much destructive it can be for our country. Moreover, please don’t put social responsibility on others while being biased. People here start to question deen, iman and morals of others on the basis of different opinion. If somebody here has a job to advertise something they will do that and I don’t think so this is illegal. They aren’t promoting drugs or anything. If somebody is advertising PTI out there why not he/she can promote other parties? Don’t they deserved to be heard or seen? What kind of one party hegemony do you want? If you get it for example what is the purpose of democracy then? If others are doing the same as PTI is doing to promote itself to join to you people why can’t others use the platform and sign people to advertise themselves?
Nestle has a-lot of law suits against them no body talks about the environmental degradation they have caused Which is actually detrimental and same celebrities are promoting Nestle Nido type things. Masses are fine with it, using it and they are producing it. No body speaks up against it.

The thing is Junaid Akram always portray's himself as perfect, morally just and the guy who knows all . The way he talks about and criticizes Pakistani awam ,in a really arrogant manner and then tells everyone what to do.

Celebraties do make money like paid promotions and product placement but this is nothing like that. This is a political propoganda campaign right in the face of suffering people of pakistan and telling them that their suffering is invalid. None of these people had any integrity just like the politicians they are promoting. This was a shameful act and its refreshing to see pakistani people absolutely rejecting it.
Sir definitely, anyone can do business with Maryam Nawaz in her private life and she can hire any influencer for marketing but in public office she can not do anything against public will and influencers should consider this thing too.
