There is already a video on them but he doesn't go into too much depth but here are a few tips Do the highlights last If you wait a few days its really easy to add highlights because the colours won't blend as much Oil pastels that come with a kids drawing on the front tend to not blend or layer at all, definitely go for something better If you layer too much it starts to look messy so I'd recommend scratching some off and going back over it Personally, I think they look best on black paper Hope this helped lol
Heyo, just so you know: if you use your fingers to blend charcoal, the paper can trap your skin's oils which can end up showing fingerprints and spots that don't erase as well.
I would love to see an updated version of this video where he uses professional charcoal making techniques as well as better charcoal making materials like willow sticks
@@-NuuLL Fixative is something like hairspray which seals the charcoal in place, a simple hairspray layer coating it will stop it smudging and maintains the integrity of the image

It's pretty easy to make. For watercolor: pigment + gum arabic. For oil paint: pigment + linseed oil. Mix with a muller, et voila.
