I would love to be a marine biologist but its so much school for so little money don't even make 6 figs which I feel would be a good amount of money in my life considering the things I wanna do
I'm about to graduate high school in a few months. Here's my complete college plan for no reason other than to make me less stressed out: I am going to continue working as an evs tech (basically a janitor) at my local hospital through my first two years of college because the pay is very good, and it has a lot of good connections increasing my chances to get a new position as I advance my education. (I was able to get a job in evs at my local hospital while still in high school because of my volunteering in the ED, and getting recommendations, of which I am very fortunate for) Assuming I survive my first two years as a biology major (survive meaning I don't somehow drop out of college or change my major which I am extremely afraid of) , I want to get a lab tech certification and work in the lab at the hospital I work at. Or maybe if I decide to take a different route I'll apply to a med transcriptionist or scribe program. Or maybe I want to get certified as a pharmtech! I don't know honestly and I'm so scared that I wont even make it through the first YEAR. All I know is that I will work in healthcare. If it turns out that I cannot handle what it takes to be a 4 year undergraduate student, I will go to my local technical college and get into one of their health certification programs. (Which I am sure at the very least my grades and past experience and volunteering will make me competitive for). That is only my backup plan of course. Do I have what it takes to be a successful premed student? Only how well I do in college will tell. At this point I've done all I could in hs to prepare me for the classes I want to take freshman year. Typing this out really puts my life in perspective. I know that no one will probably ever read this, but on the off chance someone is, know that you aren't alone.
I read it, you will be fine you have more planned out than me, I really wanna do evolutionary biology and ecology but the job market sucks...oh well I guess Ill do it anyway cause thats always what I wanted to do ever since 1st grade. PS: don't be too hard on yourself you'll be fine
I know I'm really late but I just waned to ask because I am not too sure... how would you be able to obtain a certification as a lab tech, pharm tech or become a med transcriptionist? Don't they at the bare minimum require associate degrees? You would be enrolled in a 4 year school and a year school at the same time... that seems impossible I'm really sorry if this is a dumb question but I am at a crossroads in my life right now where I don't really know what I am doing. I am a second year biology major at a community college and will be transferring to a 4 year school in the Spring of 2020. Because biology is just so broad, I feel overwhelmed and don't know what I want to do in the long run.
Is it possible to get a master's degree in agriculture through a biology degree? Meaning, is it possible to work in the agriculture industry later on through a biology degree?
Hey I'm in the same boat as you, I'm currently a Biomedical Engineering major and just started my second year. I finished calc 1, and just started my engineering classes including calc 2. And man did I hate it. I'm very nervous about what major to choose but my idea so far is to get a MS in Biology and concentrate on Microbiology. The money from engineering is nice but at the same time it's very intensive and I'm personally not very great at math in comparison to other students in my class. Did you ever make the choice to pursue Biology?
This is a good major, but a lot of bio professors are way too entirely busing for their students to even be teaching. My very first semester of college I had a terrible bio professor, never responded to emails, answered questions or anything. I had to go file grievance on this guy. He ruined my bio experience so, I ended up changing my major. A lot of science professors are just nonchalant with their students. Math professors truly care about their students from my experience
After getting braces, I've always stuck with becoming an orthodontist. I want a good job that makes me happy and successful. I have to start applying for universities in a week and it just hit me that it's going to be rough. I don't think I have what it takes to become an orthodontist. I'm an average high school student who struggles with my courses and I had planned to do a major in biology. I don't know if university is the smart choice for me. I'm afraid to waste my time and money at university. My mind's been all over the place and it's so stressful!! Should I consider going to college and maybe even pursuing becoming a dental hygienist? Having interests is a common thing yet I struggle with it. I don't know what I'm passionate about! I don't know what I'm gonna do after high school. Someone give me advice please!!!!
Hi Jasmine, omg i feel the same way. i’ve been stuck deciding between nursing and biology and it’s driving me insane. i had a therapy session last night with my psychologist and he gave me the best advice. what makes you happy? Take that into consideration and apply it to you in let’s say 10 years from now. However you imagine your life it will be, your routine, day to day activities, anything will help you decide. For example, for me, i ended up deciding for biology last night. I was so afraid that i wouldn’t make any money and as i didn’t grow up with a lot, that became an important part of my decision. yet, my psychologist told me: do you rather see your kids or your future family see you with so much money yet unhappy and stressed, or make a little less money by doing something you truly enjoy. i’m applying to school this year too and i know that whatever i decide will be tough but that’s just how life is, we can’t always go the easy route because it doesn’t mean that it will be the one we enjoy the most. i really hope this helps you in some way and i hope you find the career your most passionate about. it’s okay not to have a plan, and remember that it’s only pre grad and most people sometimes don’t even end up using their career as a job, but just as a back up. good luck and best of wishes to you 🥰
I have a choice that I can have only biology or I can also take take maths in 11th and 12th grade high-school. What should I do take both or focus on biology because I want to major in that area. I am confused because the video says calculus and algebra will be part of college for me
Ill be going to UTK majoring in this in the fall 😬 planning on PA school afterwards. If anyone sees this comment in the passing years ask me for an update 😅
Please start thinking about what you want to do with your life. I didn’t when I should have because I got comfortable with the future being far away, and now I’m in a career that I’m not sure I want to do for life.

I've searched everywhere on youtube but everyone gives shit advice. I want to know which exam to give for that, study abroad or within India, what is average salary, what should i do after completing my 12th std and every thing related to this field right from the base
Considering you are still in 10th, i would say focus on a few extra curriculars during 11th. 11th is not that hard at all, even after having PCMB I found tons of time for myself and activities. These will help you get into colleges outside India which will requires you to do either SAT/ACT or give IELTS/TOEFL. Beware this is a very expensive method which will require you to get a scholarship if you are not extremely well off. In india you will have to look into colleges yourself, because many colleges offer their own entrance exams while some just look into your final board marks.
I would really love some advice. I want to become a nurse anesthetist. I know i can go to nursing school and speacialize in anesthesiology. However im stuck between pursuing a begree in biology first then going to nursing school or go straight into nursuing school. Thank you for your advice!
i am really confused right now and it might sound stupid but whats the difference between electronic engineering and electrical? And i if i take the electronic major will i be able to work on computers (software or hardware) ?
Electronics is a subfield of electrical. Electrical engineering encompasses electronics, controls, signals, electromagnetism, embedded systems, and more. Electronics is much more specific. And yes that could lead you to a job in computer hardware.

Maybe you can do Marine Forensic Science or major in either Marine Biology and minor in Forensics? Always do your research and good luck on your future endeavors! ✨
maybe learn stocks
@@philly3199 Hi! I just saw this comment and was curious as to how things are going for u now? Have you figured out what career you want to be in? (btw I'm only a freshman in community college, currently majoring in natural science:biological sciences, but idk if I want to continue that...)
I would love to be a marine biologist but its so much school for so little money don't even make 6 figs which I feel would be a good amount of money in my life considering the things I wanna do
Yepppp
@Zivojin Limanic I only work weekends. I make $14 an hour, I don't want to work minimum wage
I needed this man. All the best in your studies!
I know I'm really late but I just waned to ask because I am not too sure... how would you be able to obtain a certification as a lab tech, pharm tech or become a med transcriptionist? Don't they at the bare minimum require associate degrees? You would be enrolled in a 4 year school and a year school at the same time... that seems impossible
I'm really sorry if this is a dumb question but I am at a crossroads in my life right now where I don't really know what I am doing. I am a second year biology major at a community college and will be transferring to a 4 year school in the Spring of 2020. Because biology is just so broad, I feel overwhelmed and don't know what I want to do in the long run.
Thank god! This is sooooo helpful
I’m starting college majoring in biology 🧪 I’m hoping to use my degree 📜 to get into pharmacy school or prepare to become a pharmacist technician.
Is it possible to get a master's degree in agriculture through a biology degree? Meaning, is it possible to work in the agriculture industry later on through a biology degree?
Something something ecology.
Very good presentation 👏
This was so helpful thank you
As someone who currently hates their engineering major, i may consider going into biology. This is helpful
This is very helpful because I'm enrolling for college under the course biology
this is so helpfull please do about food science and pharmacology and the jobs with salaire
Wow so great lesson love it
i plan on majoring in biology with a marine bio focus but all the videos on youtube are people doing a pre-med track 😅
Oh yeah,I'm going to college
Oh yeah yeah!!! Me too
I would really like to become a dermatologist assistant and will be majoring in biology, which type should I take after my second year?
Hi!! What are some examples of Sales and Consulting jobs ( require a biology background) that was mentioned in the video??

I was so afraid that i wouldn’t make any money and as i didn’t grow up with a lot, that became an important part of my decision. yet, my psychologist told me: do you rather see your kids or your future family see you with so much money yet unhappy and stressed, or make a little less money by doing something you truly enjoy. i’m applying to school this year too and i know that whatever i decide will be tough but that’s just how life is, we can’t always go the easy route because it doesn’t mean that it will be the one we enjoy the most. i really hope this helps you in some way and i hope you find the career your most passionate about. it’s okay not to have a plan, and remember that it’s only pre grad and most people sometimes don’t even end up using their career as a job, but just as a back up. good luck and best of wishes to you 🥰
Sooooo…. How’s it going now ??
Is it ideal to major in human biology after obtaining a bachelor degree in clinical medicine?
Also make video for career after bsc biology other than doing Master

is this easy for an average person? I'm planning to take this course🤐
Ill be going to UTK majoring in this in the fall 😬 planning on PA school afterwards. If anyone sees this comment in the passing years ask me for an update 😅

Bruh you have 4 years til then. Chill out

Please start thinking about what you want to do with your life. I didn’t when I should have because I got comfortable with the future being far away, and now I’m in a career that I’m not sure I want to do for life.

Am I dealing with Mathematics like algebra in studying Biology for college?
Buneary Bunny Yes, my major is Biology and I’m currently taking College Algebra and my future classes will include Trigonometry, Precal and Calculus I ,Calculus II.

Can you do a video on the major of Criminology/Criminal Justice?
Should I become a doctor even though I’m not that great at science?
you probably won’t enjoy a lot of the classes you’ll have to take up to becoming a doctor, especially the prerequisites. i would just recommend looking into specific school’s course track, and what classes you’ll be required to take and see if those sound interesting to you :)
I want to major in biology but I don’t want to go into the medical field. Any career options in that direction?
Would anyone seeing this comment be willing to share your experiences studying biology in college or university with me? I’m curious if I would like to do it myself.
If I wanna become a psychiatrist should I major in biology????
Can you make a video about Maritime Engineering ?

Is it possible for MarineBio Degree graduate to work as genetic engineer/molecular biologist?
I don't like the conservation part tbh (firstly I thought this course also teach lot in genetic/molecular and I choose it)
Can you do a Zoology Major?
Can anyone tell me what do i do to become a medical scientist in detail. I've just given my 10th std exam and i want to become a medical scientist.
I feel like the only one interested in physiology
is my B.Sc concentration that important if i plan on getting a master's in bio-tech anyway?
I would really love some advice. I want to become a nurse anesthetist. I know i can go to nursing school and speacialize in anesthesiology. However im stuck between pursuing a begree in biology first then going to nursing school or go straight into nursuing school. Thank you for your advice!
If it were me I would go straight to nursing school. Unless you have money to spend.

i am really confused right now and it might sound stupid but whats the difference between electronic engineering and electrical? And i if i take the electronic major will i be able to work on computers (software or hardware) ?
Electronics is a subfield of electrical. Electrical engineering encompasses electronics, controls, signals, electromagnetism, embedded systems, and more. Electronics is much more specific. And yes that could lead you to a job in computer hardware.
