Ok but what about Justin coaching Punk to take out his camera and actually get some vlog footage before/after GF? Without him Punk's vlog woulda been like 30s long
It would be kinda funny if they use ufc/boxing coaching rules. Everyone gets a cut-man yelling at the players to watch out for wake up rage art mid match
He did indeed hit it at 50:21, I'm surprised nobody noticed lol. It wouldn't have wallsplatted like that if it wasn't, the damage was just low because he went for an immediate tornado to save the off axis.
I don't think coaching is *inherently* an issue. People sometimes need a way to get pulled out of their head or reminded But there's a difference between coaching and back seating and if you need a guy basically dictating your entire strategy that's problematic
Sajam is not lying that first year in Daytona was brutal. Stars and bars everywhere, bigots out in full force, I'm the most white passing Latina you can be and I was getting slurred often it was brutal.
@sirpicklepepperkills8105 cool man, I have been going since 2016 and live in south florida. Daytona is racist as fuck, even the rest of the state makes fun of it. Also tons of players from that year were talking about their bad experiences with the locals and bigotry. But sir picklepepperkills, who started going after the year I'm talking about, says it didn't happen so it must not have.
I tried watching my first Tekken tournament on the Bandai TH-cam channel and the first matches I saw were all the coaching and massive delay in character select...I turned it off and couldn't finish the first set. Managed to watch the whole thing on your channel because you making fun of the coaching brought me entertainment and validation. Appreciate you man
6:10 is when it starts but there was a lot of coaching after games throughout Top 8. The official rule is you get 30 seconds. The first instance of coaching lasts for nearly a full minute.
There were multiple instances of notable coaching times. I'd say 19:08 is a pretty notable double coaching moment. EDIT: Okay the timestamp I made was like one of the first double coaching. Practically every set has coaching after the first match.
Counter-strike matches have 3x 30 second coaching timeouts down to the absolute second per map which might be about 30 mins in duration. I watched SF6 CEO and there wasn't any coaching. Why do Tekken players require 1 minute of coaching after playing for 2-3 minutes??????? And then the extra time of not selecting map/character. It's just beyond obnoxious and a pretty bad viewer experience vs watching SF6 when the match is constantly stopped for lengthy periods of time like that. Even the other player was looking round at him like holy fuck bro wtf are you doing
The asstmetry is not their fault though. If coaching is allowed, and one person waives or just can't find a coach, why is it now the other persons fault they have a coach. It's symmetrical as long as they both use their right within the rules.
I always feel like I am in a bizarro world hearing so much love about Chipotle. I always thought it was mid. Especially when compared to Barberitos or Willy's.
I wanna see Sajam do the tik tok trend where people copy what their partner is going to say because they know them so well, but with Steve. Or Rip and Steve do it.
Coaching is only cringe if it takes too long...and gahdamn did it take too long. This top 8 had more downtime than any Tekken tournament I've ever seen. Good Ass Tekken from Keisuke though!
they gotta stop hosting these tourneys in bigoted places if they want the best quality matches, the FGC has way too many minoritized players for that shit
"Bigoted" ive never seen any racism, sexism or bigotry around the ceo areas. People have confederate flags and blue lives matter flags that dosent make them bigoted. Its freedom of speech.
I really don’t like coaching. Game knowledge is a massive part of fighting games and if another person has to tell you what to do to win then you don’t deserve it.
I mean, you're free to feel that way but that's just silly in the context of Sports in general, even 1 v 1 Combat sports. They have coaching in-match for Boxing, MMA, other Martial Arts, even Tennis (where it was illegal but the entire Top 50 just cheated anyway).
@@sporkmclork But that’s a standard there. Everyone has a coach in their corner and a cut man, water boy, or whatever else. It shouldn’t become a thing in fighting games for everyone to have a coach or you’re at a disadvantage.
Why is coaching a thing again? I thought we bkanket banned this corny ass shit. The last time I saw this shit was sf5 with knuckledu and julio getting coached at the same time, and everyoneagreeing no one's allowed tomdo thqt anymore. What changed?
About the confederate flags, it's actually ordinarily not done in a "bigoted" way as you think Sajam. It used to mean the old confederate way, but now people from Texas and other states that used to belong to confederate power still use said flag just as a symbol of their home. I know this because of a story that my law professor (who is also a defense attorney... a good one at that) told me about a story where a big country band went and played in Monterey, and they brought a very large confederate flag with them to display while they were performing, but they didn't reveal it until later into the show. People got offended because they thought it meant what you said, but in reality, they had no intention of giving off that impression of being racist. They simply took it down and apologized to the crowd, explaining that it is not what they intended, and that it really means something different down in the south, where instead of standing for those old ways, it stands for a sense of pride in their more rustic way of life. And also, if I recall correctly, Blue Lives Matter was about cop lives, right? What's wrong with that, especially with all of the other ridiculous political movements that make little sense compared to having pride in our literal protectors and arbiters of law and order. So... don't just jump to conclusions. You may find that "bigotry" instead of being this genuine, objectively factual concept to you, is actually just a word thrown around for opinions that others of a similar mind don't agree with, even if it is perfectly logical and acceptable stuff like this. Not trying to be a rock thrower, just saying my piece. Edit: Wow, this got a LOT more replies than I thought it would, surprising especially considering that I really wasn’t trying to insult anyone or give faulty information. This is a REAL story from a REAL person, not a bot, not a copypasta, nothing… this was me. I never said I supported the confederacy, and yet I feel like some of the commenters actually thought that I might’ve, so… no , I don’t support the confederacy. I hear the comment that claims that they live down south and that he doesn’t know anyone who uses it like that. Ok, but this story is definitely real and the man in question comes from Dallas if I recall correctly. I mean, they could've been completely BSing, that is entirely possible, I don't actually know, I just know that I heard it from my law professor who is a pretty knowledgeable woman, and I felt like sharing. If you don’t like what I say, fine, I didn’t expect anyone here of all places would. You all strike me as EXTREMELY liberal people. That’s fine, but I’m still gonna share when I want. Just lemme share though, I mean like, what? Most of y’all are sensitive (not including the ones that engaged of course, I appreciate you adding to the conversation).
I'm sure it's not what everyone means when they display it, but it's what enough of them mean. And it's what most people are going to understand when they see it, especially folks who can't afford to stick around for clarification. Every state has a flag. If you're proud of your state, use that; don't celebrate the time your state fought to leave the union and become part of a worse country as its defining symbol.

Keisuke wavedashing into top 8 of CEO will be a fgc moment forever engraved in my mind.
I think Tasty Steve said to make some noise once or twice in this top 8
The "Oh I forgot you can't" incident is tanking his noise rate

GOOD ASS TEKKEN

Yes, the "incident" was the entire thing, for those wondering.

Think it becomes a bit much when not even a second goes by before a guy is already out of his seat and heading to the ropes for coaching.
No shoes on a flight I think is acceptable if the socks stay on, and you keep your feet where they would be when you have your shoes on.
Yeah if you don't put your feet up on other people's spaces then I think shoes off is fun
If you want no shoes or socks on plane just wear sandals right?
I'm only 11 minutes in and Sajam already getting angry about how long each match is taking
Sajam getting gaslit into being retired from commentating is a good bit
HOLY COW the fact he made it the entire way AND he didn’t get his backpack clipped, idk who this man is but I’m cheerin’ for ‘im all the way
Coaching Every Opportunity

should let the coaches in the ring. and also start a 30sec timer as soon a game ends

Yo, I didn't know Sajam from Chipotle used to be a commentator, that's cool
I dont mind coaching but i dont really like asymmetric coaching. As in one guy is getting coached and the other both isnt and cant hear it.
The asstmetry is not their fault though. If coaching is allowed, and one person waives or just can't find a coach, why is it now the other persons fault they have a coach. It's symmetrical as long as they both use their right within the rules.

What was the leverless controller Sajam was mentioning? I heard him mention the name changed. He had me at cheaper than a PS controller
i havent gotten to that part but my guess is the sehawei brand since he review is on his channel!
Could be the haute42
@EvilPineappl yeah he's talking about the haute42
Damn even Bilal's coach went in for the hug?
