dad's Korean, Mom's from Paraguay.
My dad is very scary because he's got an insanely deep voice and he has a "strong face" like the one with obvious jawlines so it adds intimidation.
But my Dad I never got hit by my dad as a kid, he would only hit me with a pillow because he doesn't want me to get hurt physically.
But my Mom, that Latina lady, I had experienced the zapato, chanclas, hangers, cintorones, los manos, periodicos, magazines, libros, Cuchara etc.. she would whoop my ass as a kid like I was being tortured by an enemy soldier 😆💀

That's interesting. An old college friend of mine is 100% Korean, but she and her sister were born in Paraguay because her family lived there when she was young. She speaks fluent Spanish, Korean, and English and even knows a little Guaraní. Your story reminded me of her
My mom was korean, she once whipped me with a frying pan, the belt or a hanger was common for me as well. Hurt like hell. If she hit me but there was no mark or blood then she was going easy on me.

Also mamoelpito isn't a word but if you read in spanish that sound like it's three separate words in spanish:
