      In no way could it have ever competed, in performance, range, or looks with the tomcat. No other jet can even remotely compare to everyones favorite fighter. This is a slow accelerating heavy tank that turns like shit. All of those weird angled surfaces, those are because they didn’t know how to design a real fighter jet at that weight with those anemic ass engines. They designed it to overcome a serious lack of everything.

      @@alphagarry5024 *Hey dude! who don't understand anything from planes, read all I wrote and learn something!* How do you live with such ignorance? F-16 block series aircraft are still the best dogfight aircraft as a middle cost aircraft beacause of physics of aircraft. that have proven themselves even today. It's so obvious that you don't understand planes... F-4 Phantoms are using it for bombing purposes in the south, even Japan, which is known for its technology today, still uses these old planes!
      The funny part is, I was wondering who made this comment. And german you only have the Eurofighter Typhoon as a good working dogfight aircraft, more than half of them are about to fall into disrepair (your defense minister himself admitted this). We are one of the most owner with F-16 Block planes and most of them are superior to a regular F-16 which is called block50 and50+, but you don't want to accept the German air force that is about to fall... What makes the air force strong? is not only warplanes! also logistical support and UAVS! yes UAVS, you are making fun of here about air force, you have not even one German-made UAV in the german air force! This UAVS the importance as aircrafts! This UAVS one of the advantage is If you fly a fighter jet, it's a cost of 1 in 20 for fly! and we have about 400 of them! It explores your territories or strategic location with ease, and puts the economy and rival air forces in trouble.

It held almost every munition in the inventory . We had to assist others in their jobs but due to constant recertifications , they couldn’t help us. This plane updated definitely could be more than a threat to the slower radar visible current US Air to Air superior fighter Boeing F-22. Even with Langley variants of the Boeing Air Force F-22 the F-4 updated could be more than a threat and even have an Air to Air winning record considering modern sixth generation fighter jet electronic components updated to the F-4 that would make the F-22 visible to the F-4 bringing limited advantage to the Boeing F-22.

      The F4's that we have were heavily modernized back in the day. We still use them for strike missions. There are about 30 of them left tho. Which is depressing. The F-5's on the video belong to Turkish Stars, a demo team. Apart from that they aren't used. They're still technically in service however. Most F-5's are used as jet trainers. They're modernized as well. We do have newer planes actually. We've got F-16's ranging from modernized Block 30TM's to Block 50+ aircraft. Hopefully we will see some newer planes in the future.

    • @rockriver2652
      @rockriver2652 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's been a long time, but yes, the jets do stay on the runway for longer than normal after rotation. Perhaps this airfield has a high density altitude, maybe they're only in min burner, or yes, early rotation - I can't say. But contrary to a couple of comments made, they are indeed in afterburner. While it's difficult to see any afterburner plume (not unusual on a sunny day), the nozzles are wide open, so the burners are engaged.

      @@rockriver2652 Hey thanks for your thoughts. I watched a few more Phantom videos and they all seem to have a bit of dwell between Vr and Vlof, but not as noticeable as in this video. I think you are right about it just being due to local atmospheric conditions, particularly as the aircraft doesn't seem to be loaded very heavily. Who did you fly F-4s with?

So, yeah, no magic time machine needed. The Phantom already proved her capabilities quite well by actually being there.

      I’m thinking that he meant to say. No gun, missile didn’t always track, and you could see it miles away just follow the smoke. They did add a gun later on. It replaced or supported the F-105. That we were using for a job that it was never designed to do. That’s why we lost half. Plus it was being managed by the White House.

    I like the Phantom, especially the F-4 in Greece.
    But here a message to the Turks:
    "Almost every day the Turks invade Greek air and sea space knowingly and presumably WITHOUT a reason, thereby violating Greek territory.
    The Aegean Sea and the Aegean Islands belong to Greece.
    The Turkish military does not want peace and peaceful coexistence.
    Stay where you come from, in Turkey"
    Greetings from a German, who lives in Greece!

    • @anavgeekspassion5727
      @anavgeekspassion5727 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      And here is a message for you. No air force would invade someone else's air space for "no reason". You've been reading way too many newspapers. Aegean sea belongs to Greece? No it belongs to Turkey AND Greece. The Aegean islands belong to Turkey AND Greece. If you think otherwise, that would be imperialism. That's like saying Turkish islands are simply non existent lol. Or like saying the black sea belongs to Turkey due to some weird historical reason. The fact is we border each other, the Aegean belongs to us also. Turkish F-16's don't invade Greek air space, not worth it. You think they do, because we do not share the same views when it comes to "rights". You literally have islands that are inches away from Turkey. Imagine applying the UNCLOS there for instance. We didn't sign it for a reason. This was just one example. As long as these issues are not adressed, Tuaf will continue to "invade" your air space, your economic zones etc. And you may cry over it all you want, it won't change anything. Peace...
