Thank you for making this clear and unbiased review of this excursion. You didn't waste time with any fluff and you were providing constant information that answered every question I had.
thank you for this video!! my sister and i are going on this excursion next week. what time did you guys get back to the dock? i’m a little nervous about getting back in time since the website says it’s scheduled at 1 and lasts for 3 hours 30 minutes. did you guys feel rushed to get back onto the boat?
Yes, all things considered, they get better each time they do it. I feel like getting the gear on them correctly before they go in the water is essential, the more they had to fiddle with their gear the less time they spent in the water. The Reef is shallow enough to swim to the bottom if you're somewhat capable.
What snorkeling company makes you wear those Mae Wests around your neck??? How can you snorkel & dive down to get a closer look wearing a rig like that?
I can only speak for my experiences but I have never been involved in a cruise excursion for snorkeling that didn't make you wear one. I think it depends on the crew you get on your boat, because I didn't really fill mine as these were my concerns and, as I discussed in the video, it was tricky to get ALL of the air out of the vest while it is attached to you, which leads to you treading water and trying to do a 2 handed task. Now this may not be an issue at all for some people but for kids or weak swimmers this is somewhat troublesome. My Suggestion would be to go in with no air and you can always add air while in the water, grab onto the side of the boat if you need to while doing so.
Yes, absolutely, most of the passengers were carrying personal bags with them, most people left them in the covered seating area while in the water snorkeling
