I am a retired Air Force Security Police Officer who was given stations that I wanted, traveled the world, met 2 US presidents, the Queen, and have to say, was blessed with the ability to have beautiful women around me. But I always felt bad about the way that they were treated by the general troops. Just curious if its different in the Army. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN. My dad was an 82nd Airborne Ranger in Korea.

Again, i love her channel (her makeup skills are BOMB and how promotions go these days in "big blue" you still have to study that boring crap and regurgitate it on test day, credit to her.

Im now almost a year in(October 1, 2020 will be 1 year for me). I got stationed at Shaw AFB as a Civil Engineer and I'm loving it so far. My coworkers and leadership are so supportive and patient! They are the best! Also I just officially announced that my husband and I are expecting our first child! Again everyone in my shop are super cool and understanding especially with my many OB appointments I have for the little one. I am looking at going career in the Air Force. But still, I am ecstatic that you made Staff Sergeant I truly believe you deserve it. I love the topics you cover concerning the Air Force and life itself. I hope to meet you face to face someday! I joined the Ait Force in Feb. Changed branches. Was in the Army for 6 years, E5. I transferred over and I'm starting off as SSGT. So far, I'm loving it. Way easier than the Army. I plan on going for my 20!

I'm a city guy and found myself in grand forks for a semester during college...I actually liked it out there lol. Congrats to becoming SGT! I'm actually working on being eligible for the air force. At the moment, I'm 40 lbs over the weight limit for my height, but I've already lost 70 lbs. Once I hit my goal weight, I'll finally be able to move forward on my military journey.

But currently am in a job that I dislike, I'd say hate but that's a strong word. So happy I came across your video! SECOND, I got an LOC recently too for literally the EXACT same reason and my supervisor said the same thing how “It doesn’t reflect your character because I know you have a high work ethic and you’re really great at your job” etc! I was upset at first because I thought I was the last person who would ever get an LOC, HAHA but I didn’t let It ruin the rest of my day/week/month/ rest of my Air Force Career. As someone on active duty, do you work with reservists as well? and would Broadcast Journalim be something a reservist would get some opportunities to be creative and apart of the team despite not being active duty? Spending an entire career on 12-hour shifts are definitely tolling on the mind and body, so I completely understand your desire to leave that environment!

There are a few ways to move to a different base: applying for jobs listed on AMS for your rank, using the Base of Preference incentive, getting lucky and randomly getting orders somewhere, and being accepted into the Palace Chase program (this option takes you out of active duty though). Sometimes it just comes down to time and luck haha

An LOC is a slap on the wrist. It doesn't stay in your record beyond what...6 months? Most aren't even placed in your PIF. Depends on your leadership.

what do you get tested on to rank up
PDG and SKT. The PDG is general AF knowledge. The SKT is the Skills Knowledge Test and is related to your AFSC. Each test is 100 questions.
