Some tips that I recommend 1. Deploy as much as possible (if you’re single) 2. When deployed, they have a savings deposit program. Believe if you put the limit 10k into it you’ll get an easy 1k after 6 months returning back to the states. 3. Have roomates so you can pocket BAH and use that extra money for tsp or other investments. 4. Buy a cheap reliable car (don’t flex a new mustang or charger, I see it all the time) Im 24, 6 years in with 3 deployments and this allowed me save up over 100k not including tsp contributions.
I would also like to add I hear a lot about the TSA too (I think that’s the abbreviation for the thrift savings plan). Will you or have you thought about start diving into real estate on this channel as well?
