Rm was an underground rapper since he was 13. He used the name Runch Randa back then. He started in BTS as Rap Monster and later on it changed to RM.

The thing about RM is every project is different from the last ...and there is variety within every recent project. In his last album INDIGO every track was a different genre. In his new album he mixes experimental genre cocktails. The respect RM is held in means he can work with whoever he wishes ... be it artist or producer. As a producer himself he knows exactly the sound he is looking for. One producer on a track in Indigo described the process of working with RM as levelling up. RM said if Youjeen said she would not do Wildflower he was going to have to completely rewrite it ( not translate) the lyrics for an English speaker as Youjeen was the only singer in Korea had the exact characteristics he wanted. Though Youjeen was known for refusing younger artists Youjeen agreed after meeting RM. Nothing RM did in Indigo was accidental it was a highly polished gem. To push himsrlf even further he adopted a different process for RPWP. He got together with the highly experimental producer Sam Yawn, that he worked with on SEXY NUKIM. He got together a bunch of carefully selected new artists and musicians( whereas in Indigo he worked with veteran and established greats) he admired. He set-up a big what he described as a music camp and all bounced creative ideas off each other overseen by the genius conductor of ideas RM and producer Sam Yawn. Then RM combined and wove this togegher with the most raw unfiltered lyrics he could wtite, drawing yogether a cohesive story to express his emotion and intent. We can thank RMs passion for and interest in the Art scene for his untrammelled interest in creating evolving and experimenting with new processes to create and grow. I think this has led to some reactors mistaking his work for that of a young man. Not someone in his 30s whose been actively performing since he was 13 in the underground rap scene.
This just encouraged me to go namjooning, before J.Cole, RM was known for riding his bicycle everywhere living his best life 😭

Wow you're doing a really great job to analyze the lyrics, don't put yourself down, it is hard because Namjoon uses poetry and philosophy to express himself, no one is expecting you to catch everything in your first reaction to something.
I analyze RM's albums in months and after all that I feel even more connected to his work, as an Design Artist, I admire him a lot 💜💜💜

Youjeen actually was in old rock group,and she didn't release any music in 10 years but joon insisted that he wants her to do it because he wanted someone to explode the emotions of the song and eventually he was able to convince her ,also he worked on Wildflower for 6 years ! And the producer he was working with on this song was going to retire after it but while working on this masterpiece he got his inspiration back and decided to create more music ❤
Come back to me: I think he's depressed (he doesn't even care to wash his face or take a shower) and he has a history of being depressed. But he's defenitely lost too. The whole album is about him feeling out of place (the album is called Right place, wrong person), his journey of self-discovery (finding his authentic self) and finding out what he wants in life. He's talking to himself when he says come back to me. The first scenario's is him not wanting to comply to societal expectations (having a wife and kids, having a partner, being a playfull child) but wanting to be himself and doing his own thing. Now that he has found himself again (I believe it's represented by the last woman - he recognizes himself in her - she's lost too just like him, wandering from room to room) he can be content in the moment (he's happy now in every scenario) and now he he can open the door and face his future (whatever that may be) that is represented by all the rooms/different scenes/ different life paths.

Rm has 2 solo albums: Indigo from December 2022 (there's a documentary where he explains his inspiration for it, you'll need it to fully understand the context - it's on the Bangtantv TH-cam channel) and his recent one from May 2024 Right Place, Wrong person. He also has 2 mixtapes RM and Mono. I personally like Mono a lot. For the song Joke you'll need to find the video with english subtitles because the official one doesn't have subtitles. He also has a song Changes with Wale and Sexy Nukim with Epic High and Champion (remix) with Fall out Boy. There's a hughe amount of content from BTS and their solo careers on the Bangtantv TH-cam channel. It will take you year to get through all of it 😂
RM is one of a kind artist beside being the main rapper, composer and songwriter of the group with more than 230 songs credits under his name (such as butter ,mic drop ,fake love ,black swan , spring day ,on.. ), he's the reason the CEO of their company decided to form the band because he saw how talented he is and wanted to make sure he depute,BTS wouldn't be here without him 💙 he's such a beautiful person inside and out , no one match his lyricism, please react to his previous solo songs beside his new album (right place wrong person) like joke ,change ft wale ,sexy nukim , closer 💙💙
Still life also makes me tear up, I think because it feels like a hopeful song 💜💜
RM has always struggled if he is RM or Namjoon or an Idol or an Artist. Even in very early vlogs he spoke about it. That may be the meaning of the references to "no name". Still Life refers to paintings that are titled Still Life that the subject of the painting, like a flower, is long gone but still lives on in the painting.
I think he says that he has no name because at that point he was still finding out who he was, he was still looking for his authentic self...

The song, explained by Namu, was inspired by art in exhibitions that RM loves, still art, art trapped in frames, and holds meanings. He is showing how something still can continue to be alive.
"I'm Still Life" -> "I'm still alive" and you can't put ME in a frame because I'm moving towards the future, even if there's hardships, I'm still living.
Also, Namjoon is someone who has experienced misunderstanding, and people put expectations and narratives, they twist his words, etc... he experienced various hate trains in the Internet for that and I imagine how annoyed he is by that, in the lyrics he also said to make deaf ears to hate comments. In his new album "Right Place Wrong Person" he talks A LOT about that.

He is the leader of the group and it is so much for him to do being n charge he just wanted to sing about perhaps not having so much to do and having a life outsideBTS for a while! Youjeen who sang wildflower with him is from an older group it’s a rock group !
RM is a poet a rapper a producer. He wanted an outlet and audience for his music. He never really got comfortable with fame. He enjoys compliments about his music but sees himself personally as a very ordinairy person. The leadership of BTS on their gruelling come up was also not a role he wanted or feels comfortable with ... yet everybody says he is a truely great gifted leader. RM is such a contradiction of manly swag and charism creative confidence with confusion about his identity and personal insecurity.

For someone new to BTS and RM, you actually did a pretty good job trying to understand the lyrics/songs. I think you will love his mixtape/album Mono and other songs on Indigo and RPWP. I recommend Bicycle, Moonchild, Seoul, All Day, Closer, Around the World in a Day, Groin and Credit Roll!
I think I get you when you say yoh feel like crying. The same thing happened to me because a lot of BTS songs, especially Namjoon's songs make me feel SEEN and HEARD, something that doesn't normally happen in our day-to-day life I would assume! His solo projects are all very different from each other. His newest album "Right Place, Wrong Person" is very very different it's alterative genre even described as such from Big Hit themselves (tho streaming services put it in the kpop category still just cuz he's Korean. Don't get me started on BTS members not being put in the right genre but Kpop only by western entities because of their race/nationality, it's so dumb but also a calculated decision. The western music industry doesn't like BTS or it's members competing with western artists) Even though RM is known for his lyricism RPWP is way more blunt imo not so much the flowery poetic language in his speech we see with his other projects or BTS songs, it reads like a diary of his more straightforward thoughts or feelings. The music production shines a lot in this album I think.
I really do think you'll like his Indigo album if you really enjoyed Still Life and liked Wild Flower. It's one of my fav albums but so is Mono which is a mellow vibe imo. His first project "RM" 2015 was written earlier during the time he was getting a lot of hate for becoming an idol from being a underground rapper, he needed to vent and prove he's still a damn good rapper.

So about wildflower...Namjoon struggling dealing with fame and all its trappings, trying not to lose sight of himself while the whole world watches his every move.
The fireworks/wild flower/flower work lyric actually came from his post back in 2017 titled 불꽃놀이the Korean title of "Wild Flower," which rhymes with (firework). He said, "Perhaps in our lives we need wild flowers [ 들꽃; deulkkot]-rather than flames [불꽃; bulkkot] or cherry blossoms [ 벚꽃; beotkkot]- in bloom, tranquilly."
It's flower work because wildflowers are like fire works, they spread through the field just like how fireworks spread through the sky except Namjoon is saying he wants to live as a calm wildflower rather than a flashy quickly disappearing firework. So instead of living like fire flowers that is brilliant but would quickly disappear, namjoon would like to live more like wildflowers that are calm and tranquil. He used 불꽃 wordplay in prev work too
Him wanting a life like a tranquil wild flower instead of a flashy firework that is quick to burn out. He always paints such a personal and powerful image.
BTW: Kim Namjoon (RM) has an I of 148. Meaning he's extremely smart (Genius level). So it takes some thinking for the rest of us to comprehend what's he's saying.

First and foremost: stop calling yourself stupid. Nothing wrong with some self-deprecation, but worlds matter and you are far from stupid. Stop son! You are right where you need to be. We never stop learning and exploring. But, strive for authenticity and internal love, not fame from external sources. Do you and you're perfect.
