This game is twisted, psychotic, ultra violent and... no other words describe it.. It's like Clockwork orange, manhunt, postal and every contreversial game mixed into one, it's so mindless, and infuriatingly hard, but the soundtrack will ease your frustration because it's that good to listen to, sometimes I just sit at the start of the level and listen to the music. I recommend this game to anyone who has patience and has no reservations when it comes to splattering someones brains all over the place with a 12gauge

I loved this game. It really has an intangible quality (beyond the gameplay) that addicted me to it. It just goes to show that you don't need photo-realistic graphics to create an interesting atmosphere. This game's got that in spades.

Y'know what sucked for me? I beat Hotline Miami, and then a year later I beat Hotline Miami 2. And oh boy, is Hotline Miami 2 waaaaay harder. I'm still not done with the hard mode. But after I beat Hotline Miami 2, I went back to Hotline Miami, and I beat it all in one sitting. 4 hours. It was so damn easy for me.
This looks like it's going to frustrate the fucking shit out of me, and I don't even like violent games all that much anymore. But it's on sale on Steam for 1,69 right now, and at that price, I'll buy it just for the sound track. Or maybe I should just buy the sound track.. I don't know. What do you think?
