Is it possible to layer drums through the push or can you only do that through live by holding command and dragging the one shot to the pad where the other one shot is?
I used to make beats long ago but what really didn't care for was having my face in the monitor and clicking around. I've been looking at devices like push, mpc studio and maschine. I already have ableton software so I'm leaning toward push but think it might be a lot to learn. I just want to make boom bap old school hip hop beats and chop samples. Any advice for a beginner?

mpc live 2 for completely disregarding a PC. Push 2 will also serve very vell but have to connect it to a pc
apc40 and push 2 is a winning combo :D
