It was obvious he was hinting to Thogden through his agent he doesn't do free work. Which is fine. Robbie has the right to turn down gigs like Thogden's. But Thogden is also free to say what he thinks of Robbie turning him down. Not a big deal. After that, Thogden knew what Robbie was about and neither of them are going to work together again.

You are obviously not a businessman not knowing that was Robbie asking for a fee for appearance on Thogden's channel. And I said in my comment nothing wrong with that.

And even if he was, he would have offered another time when he wasn't so "busy". Probably would have given him his full schedule. But I suspect Robbie knew Thogden wasn't the type to pay people for appearances so didn't bother getting in touch again or didn't tell his manager to tell him about his complete schedule and when he could be slotted in, and didn't tell him his full rates.

He didn't have to be upfront. Thogden got the message. And not only that, Robbie got out of asking for a fee himself, he got his manager to "ask" him for it; to tell him his terms and conditions, so to speak.

Not necessarily. It depends on the size of the fee and other factors. And my point about being a businessman wasn't about that - whether Thogden should pay him or not to appear on his show.
My point about being a businessman was that it was obvious Robbie brushed him off because he wanted to be *PAID* to be on Thogden's show. And then he got his manager to talk to him.

Thogden is the stereotype of a TH-camr. If he had a catchphrase, he would use it in every sentence. If he had a brand deal, you know he'd shove it down your throat.
At one point his dad did a "reverse prank" (seriously called it that) to get him to like 45k followers on Twitter.
He's tried to start beef with one of the big names in Football TH-cam because the drama will get him more subs. Don't be shocked if he tries to start beef with another big TH-camr in the near future.

I've been watching Robbie Lyle ever since he started his channel, he's NEVER been an arsehole to anyone, he's never acted like the big 'I am' and he's often helped channels get off the ground. Loads of other channels have spawned from AFTV so he should be proud of his achievements.
