usb drive flashes but says "no disc" any format i try. I even tried different mp3 files ... tried diskpart, all the things but avd-blueray/sd/usb player still not playing it when all other players do
I've been having trouble playing music on some of my devices. I finally realized it was the USB stick and not the files (after many "experts" told be I have corrupt files, or other problems) I finally saw your video and applied it to a 64GB stick making only 5GB and vola! - music plays just fine! Thank you for the detailed video!
Your advice worked, so thank you for your help. But my 512 gigabite thumb drive is now only able to hold 2 Gb. Is there a way to recover all that wasted space? Perhaps make several partitions? Because now I'm wondering why I wasted my money on such a large thumb drive, making it accessible to my car.
Aaaah, thanks for this - I wiped my USB stick to run memtest last week and my car stereo refused to acknowledge it since, despite cleaning/formatting in different file systems. Converting it back from GPT to MBR finally got it working again.
I think I've tried everything, and I still have this problem. I bought a 64 gb usb flash drive a year and a half ago, put around 4000 songs on it straight out the box and played it in my car, no problem. The format was exFAT from the beginning. Then I needed it for something else a week ago, so I formatted it, and now it doesn't work in my car anymore. My car doesn't recognize the drive at all, but it works perfectly on my two computers. I have tried changing it to NTSF (I can't choose FAT32), and I have tried reducing the drive size to several sizes, from 60 gb to 5 gb, I have tried changing the drive from MBR to GPT and back (I tried both formats in my car), I've tried putting on thousands of songs or just one album and one song, and I've tried updating the drives (they were already updated), and nothing worked. Do you have any suggestions? I have an 8 gb usb flash drive that works fine in my car. That one is FAT32 though.
@@HetmanRecovery Thanks for your suggestion, but as I wrote above (in the update comment) I found a solution through that Ridgecrop website. It didn't matter that I lost all the songs, because I had them on my computer anyway.

I have a Honda Fit 2019. My music USB stick was working fine on this vehicle. Recently I didn't drive this car for a few days. Now I click on 'Media' with the same USB stick inserted, it shows 'No title found'. But the same USB stick works fine on another car. That is to say, there is no issue on USB stick. What is wrong with this USB drive on Honda Fit? Please help. Thanks.

Mine's still not working🥺it did not have an error when in a car stereo, but my main problem is it doesn't play the audio, the number of the songs(example:20 songs, even 1 song did not play but the screen of the stereo as i can see it just keep on repeating the number of the songs) can you help me out🥺
I thought after the commands the usb could be recognised by other devices but this is just a tutorial how to downgrade a 64gig to a 2gig. Thanks a bunch
Hi was hoping you can help me . I’ve downloaded songs onto my flash drive before but last time I tried only some of them showed up on the drive and some do not . The name of the song shows in my car audio but it just skips it . Do you know how I can fix this ? The downloaded songs play on the computer but not my car .
just search for disk management then you will see all partition and you will notice the usb just by first look then click on your usb Delete but make sure to backup all items inside usb cause of it will be formatted, so after cleaning you will see unallocated size then click create and follow step by clicking Next>formate > finish and then your done.
i had a problem with my usb the car stereo does not reconize it and the 2dn method fix the issue, but i create the partition with a 29GB size in a 32gb usb 3.0.

it's not about formatting. it's about the partition scheme of the USB drive which can be MBR or GPT. change it to your needs

So when you run disk part, select the desired disk and clean. Also run the following: convert mbr
This should make it readable by more devices.
