A Heartfelt Note... in a GERMAN town in El SALVADOR [Vlog 48]

- Last week I shared something really vulnerable and this week is a followup to that. I go up into the MOUNTAINS of El Salvador to a little town founded by a German guy who named the town Berlin. There are views all around and I spontaneous went for a change in my plan to pursue something that looked cool only to get hit with information that gave me a case of indecision. It represents one of the tough aspects of long term travel for me on a heavy bike and gives you a little insight into what it's really like!

Tammy I just started following you and have watched a few vids and they are so well done. You do great work, and your heartfelt sentiments just show you are human, facing trials, facing fears, facing adversity. But you have an inner strength that propel you forward. Never compare yourself to others - it's an easy trap to fall into. You are "beautifully and wonderfully made" by a creator who adores you. You would have liked the other route through the mountains it is called the flower route the towns are more picturesque with more activities restaurants and nightlife

@@MindBodyMotoGirl If you can go go to Ahuachapán that is the beginning of the route the central park is beautiful it is called la concordia Also close to 5 min are the hot springs Alicante is a good option
And in Concepción de Ataco there are hostels or hotels of all prices, a lot to see in that town
On the outskirts is a beautiful restaurant - café that I highly recommend is called Entre Nubes It has a beautiful garden and small forest with many details you can also stay there but I don't know the price
And without a doubt, Apaneca is a great option on cold afternoons and walking through the streets with picturesque houses...

I hope you're not beginning to doubt your intuition. If you feel a road will be unsafe but ride it because you're afraid of being afraid and, worse, what people may think, you could get hurt for nothing but a pretty view. You have been making good decisions and not gotten hurt or damaged your bike. And putting; out great vlogs in the process. Keep making vlogs about what you enjoy. If you have fun doing it, people will enjoy it an tell others. If you start making vlogs just to get people to watch them,.....it becomes WORK! And that' s no fun. Stay safe and have fun!

Thanks again Tammy, I rode up Spirit mountain that overlooks Gulfo near La Union and burned out the rear brakes on my moto coming down but it was so worth it (it was an old rental bike)

I'm slowly catching up on your videos. (understand how you felt) although, different means of travel. ( I was an Over the Road truck driver for 6 years. At first I was excited about going out and seeing new places. I saw, most of the lower 48 states, with in the first 2 years. the 3rd year, I started to find my self completing, If, I wanted to move to my own truck, and go it alone., ( there was always the question on security) my last two years, were, "Oh, I have to go here again? How boring). My dispatchers, never gave me anything new. I started to hate what I was doing. and favoritism was crazy. ( If a cry arse driver was afraid to drive in the snow. The company would send a new driver. ) because the driver was expendable. Back to the way you ride. I enjoy, the way you travel. I'm a 90% road rider ( back roads) and light trails, like to go camping. (That hardcore tracks) are a think of the passed for me. I tried Trucking video's but there are some many doing it, It became the same old thing.. The 5 driving vlogger's I watch, all have a theme name. some have major sponsors. ( you might want to contact some, and day 'Bu there products for them on your page. like the mirrors, the saddlebags. showing us your routes. tell us stuff about the area's your traveling in. tell us about the weather and the best time of your year to travel there. talk about the proper documents, need to cross the boarders.
This summer and friend of mine and I are going to do some videos on our trips ( were to old to round around the world )and we both have a form of a handi-cap. he's on an air tank & I'm full of rods and pins, from a nasty accidents 8 years ago. a few other friends ( all up there in age) may join us on some of our adventures. ( USA * Canada ) So, I guess, My biggest question is where are you now?

Sharing vulnerability fosters emotional connections with others, it encourages them to share as well.... because sharing vulnerable is a good energy, it's not a weakness. Personally, I would be careful driving off-road with your bike setup, despite my experience of riding for years, It looks like it has street tires, its big & heavy, and the weight of the luggage is high & on the rear tire, but mostly you need to be able place both feet flat on the ground to be safe, it may be possible to adjust the suspension height, thanks for sharing
