    I've bee soldering wires for years then nek minnut watch this video and been joining them all wrong for years, any wonder i've always fought to get a good solder join or have the wires behave while i try to solder. The remedy is so simple thanks to this vid, many thanks RealStreet, love all of your work!

    Using a fuse helps you avoid problems yes like a fire and damage to the powered component

    Never run undersize wires - you wouldn't like a sparky to do that to your house would you ?

    Open end splice insulation that does not shrink by heat (sealing the crimp splice) should never be used out side (harsh environment) of cabin, and more splices especially on the same wire run can increase problems. Soldering in Aviation is seldom used. Don't over crimp

    I wish you had included a warning about those "no splice" connectors. Every time I climb under the dash of a new toy and find a handful of those I want to track down the previous owner and beat him upside his head.
