Maaaan thank you for posting that intake manifold part number. I've been trying to find that for quite some time. This was brilliant. I've got a couple of those carbs around I may try this out.
I like the mikuni style carb bc it’s just so easy to setup. It’s not “period” correct, but I ride my stuff and I need to be able to troubleshoot and fix easily if something happens.
Whats the black plastic adapter that you put between the intake and the carburetor off of? I need one like that so I can change the bolt pattern to the horizontal mounting bolts so I can put a different carb on this briggs flat head engine i have.
There was some on sell on eBay a while back. I think it was listed at 18” briggs header or something like that. This particular pipe is olddddd. The gaskets, I just ordered a engine set off Amazon.
The Briggs Raptor is their racing motor, so it’s no governor. But if you have a standard 5hp, I would remove or bypass it it you want it to rev higher. But beware that the stock rod shouldn’t be revved to high or it can bend or break.
@@nickweems4113 same here. This is my pit bike. My big block Motovox is my street bike. But the round slide is def easier to setup and tune vs the stock carb and the throttle is 100% easier to setup. And for about $30-$40, you can’t beat the price.

No problem! I try to share as I find stuff. It took me 4 manifolds to find one that fit. I’m just glad that the info has helped so many people.
Briggs intek engine has the intake u need, curved, plastic for insulation from heat,u,ll need to modify slightly, but it,ll work grt
Thank you. I'll have to take a look and see if I can make it fit how I need it too!
What is the part # of that intake?
Just ordered the intake adapter thanks bro
I hope it works great for you! It has been good for me!
Nice man just ordered the same for the same Briggs

Nice thanks for the info on the intake
I’m glad it could help someone! Especially after i ordered 3 manifolds that didn’t fit, 😂
@@DariusBuildz I understand bro I have done the same lolllll

Nice I've got an old raptor with a blow threw on alky fun little motor
I wanted a alky motor and I have a chance to buy 2, but I think it would be a little overkill on this particular bike, 😂
@@DariusBuildz burns to much fuel to cruise I have one on an old drag bike
@@heathenprojects2639 ok. That’s a good heads up. I appreciate it!
Nice!
Thank you! The majority of the Briggs Flathead community seems to hate the chikuni carb on them, but it works perfect for me!

That’s the intake manifold/adapter and it’s metal. I make sure when I order my carbs that they come with them. Otherwise they are like $15 separate.
Thanks brother goin to buy some more of them intakes i bought 2 already im wondering if will work with 8 and 10 hp briggs
I have a 8 hp big block Briggs and the spacing measured the same so I am thinking that it will fit.
@@DariusBuildz heck yea I'm set than
So where do i get that intake manifold and part number
The part number is in the video description. I got mine from eBay
Yo! Awesome build first off. How did you rig up the governor?
On the raptor motors, they are the briggs racing motors, so no governor
What size jet did you wind up using?
It seems my comments keeps getting deleted.
But I drilled to a 115 jet.
@@DariusBuildz thanks
Do you know where I can get a exhaust for the same engine and the gaskets for intake and exhaust

Could you send me a link to all the piping and carb. I want to do this same exact setup on my Briggs
Nevermind I see the links. I need a link for the black middle adapter though
Just updated the link in the description. But the manifold comes with the carb. amzn.to/3LHgScM
@@DariusBuildz oh ok, thank you. Much appreciated
That’s not an accelerator pump.
That was the fuel pump
It’s in my parts bin now.
What was final jetting
I ended up drilling the jet out to a 115 main.

@@DariusBuildz I mainly just want a round slide for ease of use and throttle control
Not really for high revs
