Maybe this is why Martin hasn't finished the series yet. He's made the story so incredibly complex with so many subplots he can't figure out how to tie them all together in a cohesive manner anymore.
Yeah..probably..Oldtown itself is sort of like a Hogwarts-like place and so he'd need to show a good many chapters in Sam's POV if he'd need to flesh it out as a real place alongside the things happening there with Euron, and Jaqen and others..

Seriously, even a throwaway line from Ellaria saying she'd sent the youngest four away to keep them safe while she and the sand reptiles overthrew Doran, or how Sarella was in Oldtown...They made Tyene her kid, so it fudged the birth order, but they could always have her be the fourth oldest instead of third, the eldest of Ellaria's five kids

Yeah, I praise his work as well. But to be honest he´s not showing anything really new. It´s all there in the books if you read carefully. So...try to read more carefully, you´ll enjoy the books even more.
Now go watch the Orderof the Green Hand all but prove Sarella is actually Shae... The reason Oberyn was aiming to be fighting at a trial was because they were attacking Tywin.

I actually read the books reaaallyyy carefully and yet I never heard of Sallera as well haha. I mean it's impossible to keep track with all those names and houses. But I will read them all again
I think its the kind of details you pick up on a second or third read, once you're accustomed with the main characters and the more prominent storylines, its easier to pick up on the smaller plots and secrets that are hidden through the words

The show is proof of how the "strong woman" posturing is bullshit for so many reasons. If you wanted strong women, then adapt the books better. Writing women lazily, aggressively then making them win helps no one. Arianne would have been so good for the show, links to the Highgarden story with Oakheart maybe and could go anywhere.
I always loved Doran's line when talking about how no Dornishman have died in the war and that is either his great shame or his great accomplishment. And i saw him as a great Ying to Cersi's Yang. She is all action with no real planning which can cause her schemes to fall apart when others out-plan her. While Doran spends so much time on his elaborate plans that others who *do* act swiftly can screw them up.

Well he is still a lord of sorts, the title of Prince/Princess is more of a special title for the rulers of Dorne and their close family members. The two titles are mostly synonymous.

This is why the book series is amazing and will never be finished. Even this minor character has a detailed, well defined background and arcs available to his/her story that will effect the whole plot. Weaving all of these threads together should take 10 years, it's sad that we probably won't see the end of this book series. Thanks for the vid

@@AeneasGemini False. Dorne doesn't pay taxes and they are exempt from a few of the laws of the 7 kingdoms. This is why so many lords and petty lords hate Dorne. It also helped to fuel the first Blackfyre Rebellion. Lords believed Dorne was treated better. And they were.

That glass candle thing is so cool. When it lit due to the dragons I would have thought that would have been the sort of cool iconic spectacle that would have been perfect for the TV show. Shame they didn't add it in, they could of arranged the story any which way to add it in they didn't have to use Alleras.
The best ending for me would be the White Watchers winning and then it was shown that the Night King was Azor Ahai. Which makes zero sense, but i'd love it!
This would have been cool, to twist the human perception that we are always the default good guys who are the subjects of all the prophecy and destiny. To turn it around and this great hero is actually the unknowable force marching on them from the north?? Idk how that could work, like maybe azor ahai married into the walkers for peace and for some reason is marching them back now? Whatever reason the Others are marching to begin with.
Dude I really love your book breakdowns. I’ve read the series through like three times now but these breakdowns really help put a lot in perspective. Especially this video I’ve never even picked up on this Sarila connection. But you’re not overbearing with the connectivity of like words being used and things like that that some of these other book breakdowns do. You’re very clear. Thank you so much man, you really broaden the scope of the world and help amplify my experience

Book spoilers or not they don't have another more then a hundred millions of USD budget to fill the characters needed.
ALSO the Ironborn are amazing in the books, but they got it all fucked up on the show. I'm glad they changed the name of Theon's sister on the show because she is nothing like the character from the books. Asha is probably my second favorite character behind Tyrion in the books, and she is just so boring on the show. The Kingsmoot is joke on the show. Euron just admits to killing his brother? Did the writers not know that kinslaying is one of the worst things you can do in this world. Hell, that's the whole reason Victarian hasn't killed Euron for making him kill his wife in the books. Dorne and the Ironborn is why I love A Feast For Crows so much, and the show just shit the bed with both.

Let´s hope not. Martin is not getting any younger. If I were him I would tell the whole story to a book saga reader whom also is a promising and talented writer able to mimic martin´ss style and lawyer the sh!t out of him in order to keep him quiet as long as Martin lives. That way, if anything bad should happen to him (dear god, let´s hope not), that way we could have the end of the story via this guy. Let´s accept it, there´s a real possibility that we may not read a dream of spring if Martin keeps writing this slow. I know he´s just like that but he should be aware of time, rather than anything else.

Alleras is Sarella it’s known among book readers for years & rather easy to detect with her having widows peak like obryn & dark skin of summer isle mother.Only thing I want to know is her true purpose.
It isnt so much her purpose that should concern you but rather Marwyn's purpose for being complicit in her studies. It would boggle my mind if the man who has glass candles working and is checking in on people from across the world was fooled by a cross dressing adolescent. He is the big mystery here not her, she is by the way just a mirror of the story about Danny Flint and the night's watch.

Lord Forestt Correct, Marwyn is said to be a practitioner of the Faith of the Starry Wisdom, like Quiathe, He is said to have traveled to Ashai, and now he has meister Aemon's body traveling to "advise" Danny. He like so many other Rotheschildian characters and families in this story have been in the back ground since book one, and have gone mostly ignored. That is why I believe that he like the Hightowers Royces Daynes Reeds, Dustins and Spicers, among others, are the real players in this story. Once we know who are the other families of the Green Men, the Knights of the Order of the Green Hand, besides Manderly we will be able to make better conclusions as to motivations of these, until now, tertiary characters.

The fact that a minor family descended from merchants is now a holder of major parcel of land with Lordship conferred in perpetuity is significant of a grander plan having been placed in motion long before the events of our first book. Remember by the end of Dance, the epilogue specifically, Kevin is convinced that the Lannisters my have to pay the Crown debts in secret from their own coffers. This will greatly impoverish them and possibly allow another house, one that now has access to a gold horde untapped in decades, to finance their debts. In other words the Lannisters will be broke and find themselves debtors to other more wealthy Westerland Houses.
There seems to be several families working on long game plans in the back ground of our story. Hiding in plain sight. The Royces for instance are everywhere, at the Wall, at Kings Landing both before and after Roberts Rebellion, with Renly in his Rainbow Guard, etc...

If she is already that lucky she still mustn't go to swim or bath with other pupils, mustn't pee where are others around and avoiding all these things would make everyone super suspicious.
Barbara Sziranyi alleras is also described as popular with the ladies which must force some interesting scenes that would be talked about if he was sarella

Barbara Sziranyi arya was caught by gendry who isn't that smart but she is able to get away with it by the smartest people in the world and is actually older than arya. Suspicious
I agree fully with your point. I don't think Sarella Sand is Alleras. I think Sarella Sand is Shae. Both are roughly the same age, both are nosy and try to get in on things they shouldn't, and Sarella's mother is from the Summer Isles, which fits with the description of Shae. The two characters are simply way more alike than Alleras is to Sallera. Also, when Doran Martell gives the command to bring all the Sand Snakes back to Sunspear it's indicated that Sallera is somewhere where they can't easily bring her back. If Sallera posed as an apprentice at the citadel it would be very easy for her to be brought back, apprentices disappear from the citadell all the time and no one really bats an eye. The name is also too easy for this not to be a red herring.
